Very cool Drew! I'm surprised you lost, the other guy's entry didn't look like Blacktron at all! Anyways, you did well. Hows your Brick Bonanza entry coming along?
Thanks! And my entry is, well, not quite there. :) I'm having a hard time with this one. I'll get it up in time, though. |

Sorry, my vote went to your competitor. Lee. |

Sorry, but my vote goes to Dacheronar. Your microscale creations were way overshadowed by the museum itself. I'm not saying I don't like this creation, because I certainly do, but in the overall scheme of things I don't think you took the classic space aspect of it far enough to earn my vote. |

I know I'm getting old when toys I played with are in a museum....Great idea to deal with this category. Nice! |

That was a bold way to go. In this case, the risk is worth the reward. I love builders who think outside the box. Keep it up! |

This is definitely a unique take on the category! It's very thought provoking! I think you could have taken it a few steps further though. The space suit is display on the upper floor is a spectacular idea.....but you could have included 2 more to help round it out. Great job overall. Good luck with the judges! |

This is an wesome build, and you're very lucky I'm not judging your group, since I would have based my vote on what was requred by the category (that's the nanoscaled ship) instead of the huge "frame" you gave it. Of course you're free NOT to read the category description, but you can't expect ALL the judges to do so too :)
Well, this is what the catagory description says, "Create a MOC with the scheme of one of the famous classic Space themes." So I created a scene including minis with the theme. I thought that was legal. :) |

Both of you are getting the same comment (yes, I'm that lazy). This is a really tough call. Both of you put in excellent entries! We left the description vague to see who would take the category in a different direction and both of you did just that! I'm very impressed with both entires. In the end, my (very close call) vote went with Drew. It was the overall concept of the museum and kids visiting Lego of yesteryear that did it for me. Good luck with the other judges! ~ Chris. |
