About this creation
Helms Klamm
Helms Deep
Helms Deep is the ancient fortress of Rohan in Middle-Earth the scene of J.R.R. Tolkiens epic fantasy The Lord of the Rings. The eponym is Helm Hammerhand, a king of Rohan who died there after he defended Helms Deep one winter against aggressors. The narrow canyon where the entrences to the glittering caves (caves of Aglarond) are located is guarded by the fortress of Aglarond (Hornburg) and the long Deeping Wall. Helms Deep is the most important refuge of the Westfold of Rohan and is said to be impregnable. According to descriptions the wall is 250 feet (75 meters) long, 20 feet (6 meters) high and offers room for 2000 defenders. The Hornburg is build on the top of Helms Dike and consists of two mighty walls surrounding the outer and inner yard and the tower sometimes called castle with the great horn of Helm Hammerhand.
The shown design model of Lego bricks was build on the basis of pics from the film scenery of Peter Jacksons film trilogy. During a period of 3 months the building with a widht of 2,5 meters, depth of 1,8 meters and hight of 70 cm was constructed. The model is half-finished by now. The Deeping Wall is to be broaden and a number of defenders and a even larger number of aggressors is still missing. The Hornburg is a complete building site. The path in the outer yard, the completition of the castle walls, rocks and the tower are still under construction.
this are pics from an cometition in Berlin, Germany.

This is amazing. Im working on my helms deep now and had some questions. Ive noticed several way of building the circular wall including using the rounded 1x1 pieces making it seem round by zigzagging it. I didnt notice either on yours and wondered how you managed to curve it. Also for the path to the gate how did you make that curve? Was it by attaching them one line to the left or right to give it the curving effect? Btw please check out my progress and tell me if their is anything i can do to improve it. thanks ~William |

This is the best version of Helms Deep I've seen on the site. Very accurate to the one from the books and, or movies. Some more pictures of the castle walls and inner city would make this creation even better. |

Ausome. There is just one problem. The defenders. (Rohan) have more men the the attackers from Isenguard (Urik Hia). Other than that its pretty good. Although helms deep could have been a bit bigger |
