The original ConceptCar wasn't a concept on its own. However the real potential of this 'Supercar' becomes only visible when new modules are being made and exchanged. Using the same V12 engine and 5-speed + R gearbox, and leaving most of the frame untouched, the model went through a make-over to turn into this Concept jeep with AWD and independent suspension.

About this creation

A view from the back when it's going up hill.

With the longer springs and off-road tires this vehicle has a much higher clearance.

Topview. It's better not going to rain now as there is no roof.

One of the features is adjustable seats.

The bonnet goes open as well, even though you can see the unusual V12 anyway.

Of course an off road vehicle needs proper 4WD, so I had to add a center diff.

The contour is quite chunky, but it fits this kind of vehicle.

With some small adjustments the doormodules of the original ConceptCar fit in perfectly.

Brilliant! Technically, you do not need the centre diff if the wheels are equal size front and rear.

As you know, I am a big fan of your work with the TECHNIC theme. I have always thought that the modular concept that you have developed is a great idea. I'm glad to see a variation from the original car here using the modular components. As the others here have mentioned...great work!

Hi David, thanks for your interest. The reason why I have been posting several models again is because I left TLG a few years ago for personal reasons at the time. Nowadays I have several motives to present these models; to inspire others, to explore ideas I didn't have time for at TLG, and, if possible, to get back as a designer there. You may have noticed I'm not very active on fora as I'm trying to avoid questions and discussions due to my past experience. I honestly can't answer if TLG might release a modular concept like this. I guess not, but you never know. I think it does have potential because, like you say, it's attractive for people to dabble and explore with TECHNIC...
