Yankee Zombies
Zombies, which are also Yankees. Dead, brainless and mindlessly hunting for people to eat. They're losing, of course.
About this creation
I see a lot of "Nazi Zombies" posts these days, and they've irritated me. Not so much because Zombies are overdone, but more because I never, ever see Rooskie Zombies or Yankee Zombies or anything really where the Germans aren't just holding their own, but actually winning. So here we are, with me taking the controversial side of things as usual, and going in swinging.

On the left: a Type III Schwerkleinpanzer, armed with a subgun of the MP-38 series. Too small? Maybe, but a punch from a suit like that would seriously ruin your day, and I doubt a zombie could nibble through it without diamond dentures.

On the right: a Kleinpanzer Ausf B, with an MG-34 and shoulder mounted rocket launcher.

Above: two ground pounders. All from a special operations unit, identifiable by the large red hankies they wear around their necks.

As you can see, my Schwerkleinpanzer is very agile. Much more so than a minifig, without being all that much bigger. Drawbacks? The legs tend to snap off at the knees at the most inconvenient times.

Now, those zombies, being, well, dead, don't have most of the magical Mary Sue powers of typical Yankees. They're still stupidly too hard to kill, but, like most Mary Sues, they can't actually dish out any real damage without help. And the whole "rotting flesh" thing kinda makes the "charm people into helping by being perfect in every way" strategy they use difficult.

Horsies, just in case a quick getaway is helpful. Notice the genre-savvyness of these fine Bavarian lads; unlike most soldiers in a zombie situation, they're standing on the zombie-proof wrecked wall, and they've got a getaway vehicle in easy reach.

Heer soldiers in wunderwaffen battle suits are far superior to generic Yankee 4x4 riders.
Put these guys up against a Sherman, and that pathetic lump of pig iron would fall to bits from sheer fright.

The Mary Sue (or Marty Stu, I suppose would be more correct) Yanks most often seen in Second World War MOCs are incredibly lucky, incredibly resilient and they use every single trope in the War category.

They easily steamroll over the pathetic rabble 'Nazis' most people use as adversaries.

However: put them up against my competent, well trained Alternate History German troops and they die by the thousands. These types are incabable of using any sort of vehicle larger than a medium tank, and artillery and most air support is simply beyond them. Their only advantages? Numbers, luck and their irritating ability to survive fatal wounds just by saying some stupid thing like "It's just a scratch".

You don't say "It's just a scratch" when a bloody great suit of powered armour punches you. You look at the hole where your vital organs used to be, and you say "It's just a flesh wound!". And then you say something about biting their knees off.

Braaiinnss...

And another thing: this whole business with the Nazi Zombies? Firstly, it's incorrect, and secondly, it's racist.

You know, that thing Nazis do that makes them evil.

Whenever you post a Nazi Zombie MOC, you're basically saying that Germans are the only ones vulnerable to the zombie virus. I've yet to see a Brit Zombie MOC, or one where, heaven forbid, there be Yankee Zombies munching craniums alongside their German counterparts.

And here's the cast. In case you can't tell, zombies don't usually get any.

Stompy, innit? I'll get around to posting it eventually. In the meantime: repent of thy Nazi related sins, and let ol' Jerry win for a change!

Quoting Nahdar Vebb Okay....first of all it's not racist or incorrect to post Nazi zombie mocs, since Hitler actually wanted to have unkillable soldiers that would keep running and shooting after they died. also, not really sure why you want the allies to be killed by the thousands

"Oh no, the Nazi zombies are oppressing the Jewish Zombies - No wait its okay, the American Zombies are intervening" Great MOC here, the Nazi Zombie thing does get a bit old doesnt it :) The wall seemed a bit thrown together though, all in all a great MOC

Quoting Finn C-Q And Areetsa, would this also be what you mean? http://mocpages.com/moc.php/148354
Probably. Although if you ask me, the Soviets would be just as likely to use zombies as the National Socialist German Worker's Party.

I wholeheartedly agree. The Americans lost the opening engagements of their part in the war. They were beaten back multiple times by the Germans. Currently, I am the German Wehrmacht in a miniatures wargame, and I have eliminated all the American forces from the field. Consequently, their tanks were Shermans, and mine were Panzer IV's with the added armor.

Quoting Areetsa C Oh no, they did it all right. You burned down their parliament, so they got some British friends and did it right back. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burning_of_Washington
And to think that I like history and I forget that! Duh! I do remember that though (strange that I would forget it. I guess my fascination with the Civil War has caused me to forget much of what I know). And no, actually. I meant when the USA split into the north and the south and started blowing each other to pieces. Despite it being a very sad time for the States, I find it to be one of the most interesting times. But the reason why I said the War of Northern Aggression is because I am southern. Note: this statement does not express my full stance regarding the Civil War.

Yep, also old comic book series. Also, the movie: Saints and soldiers, is basically propaganda, making Germans really evil, unable to shoot, and getting killed by truckloads by 3 US soldiers. At least their weapons and clothing is right

Quoting Mister Bones Clever! I like the twist as I too grow tired of the endless "Germans are bad mocs", and I am a Yank. Might even be a zombie...no, I do not watch the NFL or NASCAR, so, I'm not.
Oh no, you're a perfectly normal animated skeleton. Well, perfectly normal as undead go, anyway. Look at the bright side: you haven't got muscles to rot away, so as long as you don't get on the bad side of an angry guy with a sledgehammer, you're effectively immortal.

Quoting Gherkin 101 I'm not sure your familiar with the game Call Of Duty: World At War. All the Nazi Zombies MOCs that your are complaining about are MOCs based on a minigame of the same name in that game.
So? I don't care. And how many of these kids are actually old enough to play it, anyway? I seriously doubt most of them are of the requisite age.
Quoting Jeffrey Donlon Is that sarcasm or serious? I can't tell (been a long day). If serious, then no. And, the South. Rebels. Confederacy. All that good stuff.

In my Nazi zombie mocs it's a clash of diffrent races who are zombies. The Americans who are fighting them never Germans. Since I just use the title from Call of Duty, but I never thought that Nazi zombies mocs could be racist.

Quoting Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great Cool story bro, but history is written by the victor. Therefore, America always wins. Always.
Canada + Washington. Also Vietnam. Afghanistan.
Quoting Ultramarine .
Except that the Americans came late to the party, and as far as the history normally portrayed in MOCs goes, you'd think they won the war all by themselves. I'm not saying the Germans were on the defensive for the latter half of the war, but they certainly weren't retreating the whole time, and the Allied casualty lists would certainly indicate they definitely weren't losing battle after battle, either. You wouldn't think so to look at the 'pages, though. So I'm exaggerating in the opposite direction, to restore balance to the universe. And because I don't like mindless overpatriotism. But mostly the universe balance thing.

Being a history fan (and consequently, a huge war-buff) and avid documentary junkie means that I have seen both sides of the equation from the impossible (and quite possibly divine) wins against overwhelming odds; to the tragedy of underestimating your foe and losing just as badly. Being privy to these stories, I do not see it such a stretch to have the 'heroic' Americans winning the fight, since it happened frequently. I think the allure of 'Nazi Zombies' is the fact that "We beat these guys and now we gotta face 'em again?!?!" sorta thing. Makes for an interesting story. I have no problem with 'Yankee Zombies' except that the 'Yanks' weren't losing, so it would be the same problem for them as it would the Germans... Sorry to prattle on, this is an interesting story.

Very good! I am an American (not a Yankee though), and I heartily approve of this. The only way it could have been better was if it was Yankee Zombies in the Civil War! Whoops! Edit: not the Civil War, the War of Northern Aggression! Now, guess which side I always cheer for.
