Imperial Riot Commando

Fast and agile, the 77-R Riot Control Speeder, Nightwatch variant is used widly across the Empire. These speeders are designed to handle rioting citizens, and make use of some very unique crowd control devises. On the front of the 77-R are two razor sharp blades, that can easily tear troublesome protesters in half. These blades also help clear a path for the bike, in case the Rioters have set up barricades. The 77-R also has a 1-99 'Scatter Shot' Blaster Cannon, nicknamed 'Crowd Cutters', that take down several targets within close range. The later, 79-T Police Speeders use Z-59 Repeating Blaster Cannons, which are far more accurate. The most effective, and infamous weapon the 77-R carries is its Charinga Gas Chambers. Located behind the speeder, the gas chambers are full of Charinga Gas, similar to tear gas. If inhaled, the Charinga Gas can cause vomiting, internal bleeding, and in some moderately common cases, death. A lever on the side of the speeder allows the speeder's operator to release the Charinga Gas. All Imperial Stormtrooper helmets filter out Charinga Gas, allowing Imperial Riot Troops to march through the gas to apprehend the rioters.

The 77-R's have also been widely used as Imperial Police Speeders, because their speed, agility, and weapons make them ideal for running down criminals, even after the far more costly 79-T series was invented.
