About this creation
FAV-7i ‘Caracal’ Light Assault Vehicle™
Lore: The Caracal was designed to fill the gap between heavier armored vehicles and more lightly armed infantry support vehicles, to this effect it performs admirably. It is a highly mobile weapons platform able to traverse a variety of difficult terrain at high speeds, without preparation the Caracal can ford 1.5 meters of water, and a floatation screen can be erected in just two minutes. It was designed for easy air transportation and can be parachute dropped with a specialized sled. The 35mm cannon is mounted on a low profile turret under direct control of the gunner, it fires a variety of fin stabilized ammunition that is preloaded in 9 round clips, a total of 135 rounds is carried.
The Caracal is equipped with a NBC protection suite, and can utilize a CROSSUNICOM communications system that integrates all deployed vehicles, infantry and air support with high command allowing a broad view of the battlefield and precision deployment and cooperation. The driver/unit commander views through a digital night vision equipped 180 degree imaging screen, or an integrated periscope/hatch cover. The gunner sits just forward of the turret, and has access to numerous scopes outfitted with detailed target acquisition information, the loader/targeting officer sits directly under the turret and uses scanners and various optical hardware to provide information to the gunner, and reloads the weapon when necessary. This highly versatile light assault vehicle has seen significant use in all theatres of combat, and is almost always deployed to support armored divisions and mechanized infantry regiments.

Quoting JS Can
I really like the flow and how everything fits together. Nice work. Is there room for a minifig inside?
Thank you sir! Yes three minifigs can fit in the vehicle, but it is very cramped, two can enter through the the double studless wedges on top, and the other has to be added by removing the turret, and dropping the back door. |

Like all your creations, very nice presantation and information at the start. Just a question: Where do you find the helmet of the soldiers on the cannon? Thanks
Thanks man, the helmets are the dark bley space police III series with a clone wars clone visor attached. |

Very nice. I like the stocky, bulldog feel. Good choice/use of parts. I too think it kinda like a GoW centaur. Also, I like the way your pictures are. |

This is utterly amazing. I like so many things about it. Your use of subtle color really adds to the detail. The wheels you use make it look like an authentic off road armored vehicle and the turret is well done. Regards, Eric. |

Now THAT is what I'm talking about. It looks loosely based on the GoW Centaur, perhaps? I love the stocky stance and the top-notch editing. |
