Take a ride in one of the sleekest, best-performing, efficient, comfortable, and downright awesome minifigure private jets in the market today.
About this creation

Ladies and minifigentlemen of all aviation tastes, the National Aerospace Intelligence Agency of the nation of Islandasia is proud to present the Starlight, a state-of-the-art, high-class, top-notch executive jet. The Starlight has actually been in operation since late 2009 but is just now being unveiled to the MOCpages world.
NAIA Islandasia maintains a policy that “aesthetics is just as important as performance.” The Starlight is one of the organization’s finest examples of this tradition. The nose, cockpit, and wing design is very unique while still complimenting the rest of the body as a whole.

The fuselage is six studs in diameter, realistically comparable to minifig-scale and life-size vehicles. It is carefully configured to allow plenty of space inside while still maintaining an economically slim size.

The Starlight features two fore entryways and two aft emergency exits. The unique nose with the two “nostrils” sticking out contains a variety of air filters, light/heat sensors, and radar/communication technology. The landing gear is versatile and sturdy, allowing for excellent mobility on both smooth and rough surfaces. The two NAIA 3Cylinder 3stWpf Turbine power plants not only rocket the aircraft to a maximum cruising speed of 520 miles per hour, but can rotate slightly to allow extra takeoff power or landing sojourning in the event of emergency situations.

The tail is both a compliment to the aircraft’s aesthetics and a crucial factor contributing to the Starlight’s amazing performance.

The Starlight is large enough to operate as a mid-distance, economically-accommodative, high-speed private jet but small enough to be affordable and be able to operate to even the smallest of airports. The Starlight’s recommended takeoff field allowance is 660 studs, but in extreme circumstances it can make its way off of a runway with a length of 400 studs.

The two entryways come with fold-up stairways. What props!

Sleek says it all.

Now let’s take a look inside . . .
The typical interior configuration (interior configurations are highly customizable; this is just the default configuration) consists of five spicy leather passenger seats – two in the front with a little ivory-and-wood coffee table and three traditionally-set seats in the back. Near the cockpit is room for an optional seat for a hostess/passenger assistant with emergency kits, a first-aid kit, a fire extinguisher, and a two-drawer cabinet for other important accessories.

NAIA Islandasia always tries its best to be the best when it comes to pleasing the insurance critics, the performance doubters, the owners, the pilots, and the passengers.

A view of the underside of this marvelous bird reveals an aerodynamically-smooth belly and top-shape wings.

This fabulous masterpiece of technology, engineering, aerodynamic, and developmental success is an excellent continuation to NAIA Islandasia’s tradition of superior, spunky, and stylish airplanes. Move up in the world, get places faster, and fly happier with a NAIA Starlight!

* PLEASE NOTE: Hot chick and glamorous jeep not included.

Below is a snapshot of the original Starlight prototype while it was still in the design stage. The beginnings of the second prototype can be seen to the right.

BriksAir Islandasia, the official airline of the island of Islandasia and the primary sponsor of the National Aerospace Intelligence Agency of Islandasia, has ordered three NAIA Starlight aircraft to be leased out to other private agencies.

Since its initial release in the winter of 2009, NAIA Islandasia has manufactured over forty sparkly, shiny, glistening Starlight beauties. With a hard-to-beat base cost and superlative insurance policies, you can easily get yourself a gorgeous NAIA Islandasia Starlight specialty of your own! Order one for your boss’ birthday today!

Excellent shaping, especially on the front end of the plane. I love a good interior, so you get props for that as well. I just noticed that I never added you as a favorite builder, hence why I'm always late reviewing your things. I'm going to remedy that now.
Thanks Emperor, it means a lot to me. It's good to hear from you; I thoroughly enjoy every new Atlas episode that comes out! |

Sigh, wish I had the knowledge to build these. I also wished I had one of these of the aircraft were to be real.
I think we all wish these gorgeous babies were real, haha! If you keep at it, someday you'll be able to pull off something really neat too :] Thanks for the comment! |

If this is supposed to be a direct competitor to the city set 3181, this one wins badly!

The Back and interior look great! Although it looks a little too boxy. Perhaps if you sloped off the sides it might look a little rounder. Do you think you could check out my latest creation a westjet hangar? |

Stephen, MOCpages won´t let me comment on this:( Do you know why at all?
I have had trouble with that in the past . . . I know MOCpages does not like enormous posts, but I don't think that's your problem. I've had problems with posting comments myself; it seems to be just a little "slowness" bug in MOCpages' system. We can email each other if you'd like :) |

I wanted to tell you what all I really like about the Starlight, but inspite of alterations, changes, shortenings etc., MOCpages just won´t post my text. Sorry, I might try later again. Best regards, Steffen |

Thanks, Maxim! That illustration at the bottom was indeed created from an actual photograph . . . all it took was a little time on photoshop :) It's good to hear from you! I hope to get some bigger stuff out later... |
