The Bataan Death March
75,000 soldiers, one march....
About this creation

The Bataan Death March took place in the Philippines in 1942. The 60 mi march occurred after the three-month Battle of Bataan, part of the Battle of the Philippines (194142), during World War II.

75,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war marched.

6000 to 11,000 died on the way.

Some died of exhaustion,

while others were given death sentences by the Japanese. In some cases, a POW would be stopped at the side of the road and have his head cut off.

Now the rest of the pictures.

A Japanese soldier.

An American soldier.

A Filipino soldier.

May all those who perished rest in peace.

Very good. I like it a lot, especially the machine-gun and the realistic showing of the soldier's abuse. The Japanese soldiers did terrible things to the Americans and Filipinos. One suggestion is that the Americans have M1917 helmets instead of the other ones. At that time the US used that design, based off the British one. The uniform was also tan for the US. Otherwise, good job.

Hmm...I read about this, though I didn't think anyone would make a M.O.C. out of it. It deserves many more LEGO creations, though! I love all the detail, good job!

This is pretty good. The details look nice, especially the bridge. But I rather see that figure holding a green rifle hold a normal grey one instead, because it would look more realistic. Overall, great work. ~ Ghostman

One of the most appropriately guided and directed MOCs I've ever seen. You weren't afraid to tell the truth, to tell history, despite the fact that this subject is often skimmed over. Bravo to you for that, bravo! (And, of course...it was a really good MOC, particularly the varying skin colors.)
