So named for its (somewhat) unique wheel mounting, and its similarity to the Massasauga, the Sidewinder is the "little brother" of the Massasauga.
About this creation
main pic without title.
side profile. the vehicle is roughly 28 studs long and 6 studs wide. with suspension down, it is 7 bricks tall.
working suspension was a must on this build, as the Sidwinder is meant for rapid recon or hit and run tactics.
here we see the steering mechanism, which is quite similar to that of the Massasauga's, only on a smaller scale. Also visible is the main headlight. the cameras are equipped with night vision, but it doesn't work as well at very high speeds.
the pair of fold-up searchlights for better night driving. also visible is the pair of antennae on the same folding area.
a close up of the left-side 20 MM cannon.
A Back shot, because everyone knows to include one of those.
oh look, there's even a brake light.
thanks to Matt David for inspiration.
by the way, if you build it in any of your mocs, give me (and Matt) credit.
*edit* a v2 may be on the way.
