Apocalyptic Zombie-Infested City
Finally, the long awaited, not as much anticipated, slightly exaggerated, 2 years in the making and 1 year late, Apocalyptic Zombie-Infested City!
About this creation
Abandoned Survivor camp, complete with cot, lamp, and last year's newspaper!

Another angle of the camp.

Rooftop camp. Constructed when the need to get off the ground was at a peak. They can power computers and charge electrical devices via the solar panel. That connects to the main computer, which connects to the alarm tower, which connects to the smaller computer. Unfortunately, the computer technician who organized the whole deal is now hanging from a street light.

Tire barricade to keep the invading zombies away from the makeshift weapon shop and the evac point for fortunate individuals. How are they fortunate, you ask? The unfortunate ones become zombies that get shot.

Here the marines are, handing out weapons to healthy people.

The last two defenders flee the barricade in terror as their friend since childhood gets brutally eaten.

Another barricade-and-street view, this one showing a custom zombie. I made it using power tools, red acrylic paint, and Jack Fonchezzz's idea. (thanks Jack!)

The quietly serene beach. Some survivors stray out there at sunrise, just to remind themselves that God will always care for them.

That man means business. 'Nuff said.

There's the solar panel.

a decrepit fountain, inside the old bank. There are still puddles of water left, but nobody will drink it and risk catching the disease.

These next few shots are of a zombie-killing tank. The design was my idea (notice how the top is upside down?) and there used to be a gun on the top, but I took it off as it seemed a bit extreme.

here, again is the barricade, caution barriers, and small shack that offers some protection. I got the "tank trap" idea from Steef. Go check out his stuff. Now. No wait, not now. After you leave a comment here. Then go. Now.

Here, we see the water of the beach. I used many, many trans blue and clear studs that i got from a PAB cup last year. I decided that near shore, the water is shallow, thus i made it trans clear with a blue baseplate. Naturally, near anything that sticks out of the water, it would be lighter, and I used trans-light blue. Last, of course, lots of trans blue. Kinda like Eggplant's water, except his stuff puts me to shame.

Mario's authentic Italian Pizza! (The sign was ripped off and used for a barricade.) Since Mario's first appearance in 1981, you better believe he's got enough coins to buy that shotgun! Bout time Mario got some modern-day firearms and blew the **** outta them Goombas! (by the way, that's not supposed to be Mario, just a silly reference to him.)

there's the poor man who's being eaten.

and again.

there's another barricade, made by my own mind. It's simple. You can probably tell how its made.

Oh, look! There's that technician. It is unknown how he got is entrails caught around that pole, but it's a bummer all the same.

The solar panel.

A busted up BP gas station. (don't worry, an oil spill reference is coming)

close in

The beach again, complete with ruined docks.

There's the custom zombies (again, credit to Fonchezzz) trying to take out that barricade. The audacity I have to saw off a lego man's head. Rest in peace, brother... rest in peace.

The old bar where Kelso would drink his weight in Coors all through night, while Phipson laughed, and laughed, and laughed...

packin' heat with a tank and two snipers! A side note, that that is the tank that I won one round with in the Mocolypmics.

You'll notice here and in the next picture that the only way to the base is up and across these ladders, which can easily be pulled up and over for safety.

the whole east side.

the back side. (don't say it.)

the back view of the barricade

Another shot of the man being eaten.

Oh give me a home, where the zombie hoard roams, and they get shot from above all day...

A man's last stand after being attacked. With any luck, he might make evac. (Credits to Chas Irish for the blood trail)

READY???

First the nice jokes.
-Where's the gas station clerk? Dead.
-Why won't I show the gas prices? Because even your Prius would faint.
-Why is there a zombie disease anyway? Because of Obamacare.

Now the funny one.
-Maybe that oil spill will stop some zombies, along with 400,000 other sea animals.

Final Commentary--
Thank you for viewing and reading this. I plan to take all of it apart except the beach and street connected to it. I always appreciate comments on what to do better or new ideas, and of course, praise for the creation. A few of you were bound to utter "Oh my God" while reading this. Let me make it clear that I do not hate President Obama or BP. I'm a little cynical about the healthcare bill, but I fully support President Obama and this country. Also, I understand that the oil spill could have happened to any company and BP is working very hard to rectify the mistake, so my prayers go out to them as well.
Now I've gotta get out of here before this thing actually becomes politically correct. That would be horrible.

Thanks.

good job but alittle to much like the world was nuked but if you had had more full buildings would have been even better. Try building a city and have it in the first stages of being infected like resident evil 2 (movie)

Quoting Nick Barrett Nicely done with loads of little details. I like this. Don't worry about the healthcare bill - a civilised society takes care of all it's people.
haha, does this city look like a civilized society?

Very nice build. I especially like the beach and the barricades. For some reason what really got me was that little run down dock. Again, wonderful job.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 there is a lot to like about this set! the water effects are really well done! so are the vehicles, and i loved the oil spill, very effective looks! nice details about the base in general, but,i m a little disturbed by the massacred parts in the sake of gore, it s too bad you coul nt get some zombies from the minifig collection but,don t get it out on those poor innocent minifigs you own! lol overall nice build, but, some better convincing zombies would have been much nicer! even if fewer. no real lego lover is too fond about destroying parts! i m sure it hurts your comment status! i like post apocaliptic mocs a lot! and everybody loves zombies! try some better tricks,i love your stuff!
Well thanks for the input! It's always nice to hear that someone loves my stuff! Why not add me as a favorite and you can receive updates as soon as I post new stuff? ;)

Quoting TROBERTS . Well man what can I say... This was well worth the long wait, I still can't believe how amazing this MOC is!!! I have safely given this 5/5. Congrates man, you must have worked extremely hard on this and all that effort payed off. The beach was stunningly amazing, and the whole thing is worth every second of waiting!
Thanks a ton for that! Ive just finished photographing a new moc, which I think is more realistic and better detailed then this one.
