MJ-MOC Olympics R1-“Office Spaces”
Welcome to Dr. Whackemoff’s new prototype R&D office. Here we see the good doctor showing off his newest fighter design to S.I.D.’s commanding officer Colonel Nikolas Kamirzakoff. We pick up the discussion here.
About this creation

Dr W.: Colonel, I would like to present my newest design for the S.I.D. I call it the Excalibur bio-drone fighter.

Dr. W.: It’s a remote controlled air/space combat drone with an operating range of 15,000 kilometers from the pilot’s command bunker. The Excalibur is armed with twin laser cannons and a rail gun in the nose and two short range missile launchers in the body.

Dr. W.: Best of all its relatively cheap so it could be produced in large quantities on a limited budget. So what do you think?

Col. K.: The design has potential but I am a bit confused by something else.

Col. K.: I was under the impression that I was coming to the offices I assigned to you. This however looks more like a laboratory to me.

Col.K.: What happened to the office cubicles that were in here?

Dr. W.: Cubicles, cubicles, I don’t need no stinking cubicles! I sliced those away with a pasma torch five minutes after I was in here.

Dr.W.: I needed space for my equipment so I can work on my designs.

Dr. W.: Besides as you can see there is still one cubicle acting as a storage closet for my micro fusion reactors.

Col. K.: Very well doctor, so long as you continue to produce quality weapon systems for G.A.I.A and the S.I.D.,

Col. K.: I will personally see that you continue to get everything you need to continue your research.

Dr. W.: That’s all I needed to hear. As always it’s a pleasure to do business with you.”

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix The shape of that plane is awesome! Really eye catching. You've been a busy builder this summer! Way to go, man! I'm rooting for you!
Thank you my friend. I know the plane is what got me to round two. I don't know what I'm going to build in round three yet but thanks for the vote of confidence. Only time will tell.

Quoting Yuri Fassio Glad you could make it. How could you miss that slash if you just copied and pasted? Well, 7 points anyway.
Sorry my friend but I didn't even think of copying and pasting as an option. Lately I've been suffering from a serious case of cranial rectal insertation syndrome and it's only through the kindness of others that I've made it this far. Here's one question I still have. How do you actually get the URL for another page? If I hadn't been told what it was this time I would have never figured that part out.

I didn't copy and paste, I typed it out and it took Hans to spot my screw up. What can I say I'm still a bumbling noob when it comes to this computer stuff. Back in my day we still had to use chisels and stone tablets to copy info. Okay maybe I'm not THAT old yet but I didn't grow up with a computer like most of these whippersnappers around here! I'm still learning how to use these confounded things!

Quoting Chris Phipson I was hoping someone would point out your typo. Let this be a lesson to ya... copy and paste. hahaha 6 points! ~ Chris.
Yeah I admit that I fully deserve that one. What can I say, I'm much more familiar with MOCing than computing any day of the week! Now I just have to remember hot to do this again next time, oh deary me!

First of all; Hans, Shifu, Parrington and everyone who cared enough to help me out during my mini-meltdown THANK YOU! It's good to know there friends out there that will come to my aid when I need it the most. If I can ever help out in return, please ask. Although if it's somthing technical you should probably consult someone more intelligent than a bombastic simpleton such as myself! Best of luck to all of us in the challenges to come.

Quoting Hans Dendauw ONE more time, move the / ! It needs to be between the php and 12864. You still have time and don't worry about the convo thread thing.~H
All right I think it's finally working. I tested it a couple of times and it went through to the page. Thank you for all the help! Now if by some friggin' miracle I make it to R2 then I can start pulling my hair out all over again. Of course that will be the real challenge since I just got my head shaved earlier today!

Quoting Hans Dendauw You are just missing the / between php and 12864. You have just under 2 hours to fix it. Good luck!~H
Hans, thank you for spotting the one thing I couldn't see for the life of me. I fixed it and it works now. I fear it may be too late anyway because I posted a comment without permission while asking for assistence and I'm getting the vibe that the judges are going to D.Q. me anyway for breaking the rules. It's the least I deserve and I will abide whatever decision they choose to make in this matter. I guess I just don't know when to keep my big mouth shut. Anyway thanks again. Mike.

Quoting Yuri Fassio Oh, man! There were tons of comments, and an entire thread dedicated to making links. Even without all that, all you had to do was to edit you MOC and click that suspicious "learn some simple HTML" link. And if you didn't write that comment, I wouldn't even have noticed! I was giving for granted everyone would know how to make one by now :(
Yuri I went to the help page and tried to do what it says but I still couldn't make it work. Look it's probably too late anyway so if you have to D.Q. me for being a screw-up then just do it. Maybe I'll rty again if I can get my confidence back.

Guys I tried doing what you suggested to add the link but when I try to use it myself, it keeps saying the page doesn't exist. In case you haven't figured it out yet I'm basically a moron when it comes to all this computer stuff. At this point, if the judges decided to D.Q. me for my stupidity it would almost be a relief compare to the stress of trying to do this. LEGO is supposed to be fun and therapedic but right now it it seems just the opposite. Thank you everyone for all the assistance and positive feedback you have bestowed upon me. I'm surely not worthy of it.

Nice work! Now, get that link fixed and I hope to see you in round 2.~H
  August 15, 2010
MIKE, quickly add the link, here's how... <a href=URL> </a> whwer URL is, that is where you pastle the actuall http etc link, ie, you do not type URL, you type in the link itself, surround it by the other stuff as I have written, and presto, you will have a working link...
