Hi all. This is my Round 1 MOC olympics entry. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Well here is my entry for the MOColympics round 1 eliminatory round. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Here you can see our home viewer throwing away his popcorn in disgust as he hears the news headline.
Note: The lounge was completely redesigned and is much better than my old one. (As seen in my Horror Movie MOC.)

Here is a nice angle of the tree design plus the owl statue and coffee table.
Note: You may use both the tree design and the lounge design if you like it. The lounge isn’t sitting on the flat grey tiles but actually has 4 2x1 plates as feet. I'm really happy with the way both of them turned out.
Oh there is a reason why I used technic bricks as you will see later.

Just a back view showing the feet of the lounge as mentioned above. The TV is being hold on by a brick with 2 half pin connectors.

News reporter: Well hi there folks and welcome to our Late News at 11.

During this show we will be showing you what has been going down on Crazy Street these past few hours.

Mini vig 1: Clone Kiddies give up and go purist!

Two kids dragging a purist clone away to someone’s humble abode where they will make an AWSHUM SUPER SPASH SHIP for their new friend.

Clone: Nooooooooooooooo!

Mini vig 2: Sean Kenney has drinks with Jesus.

Note: Reporter: Due to our recent exploits involving Jesus and his party’s we are not allowed to show his face on TV. We have blurred it out for your convenience.

Note from Sean (no not really): “I received a strange phone call from an unlikely person on Tuesday while we were doing our server upgrades. Jesus was on the other end and was asking me if I would like to come out and have a bite to eat with him.
I met Jesus at one of his favourite restaurants and while we were waiting Jesus insisted that he do a ‘magic trick’ and turn our ice water into wine.”
Note: I congratulate the person who came up with the fantastic design for a bottle using the TLG wine glass and single stud.

Mini vig 3: Dun Dun Duhhhhhhhhhhh! Who do we have here? Oh my god... please don’t tell me that’s who I think it is. It’s Yuri, our friendly but not judge from the MOColympics, buying a large tub of MEGABLOCKS!!!! How could he fall to such a level? T_T

Yuri seems happy with his purchase. Perhaps too happy if you ask me.

We come to our final mini vig (and my most favourite): Our law enforcement officer, from MOCpages, Chris Phipson found outside a gentlemen’s bar wearing nothing but a Dodgers baseball cap, tanning sun goggles and a Princess Leia style Bikini!

Reporter: Officer Phipson was found outside the gentleman’s bar ‘The Neon Spider’ this morning passed out wearing nothing but a Dodgers baseball cap, tanning goggles, a Princess Leia bikini and a stray mutt. What can this mean!
Note: I unfortunately do not have the Princess Leia figgy in yellow so I had to settle for an overly tanned Chris (hence the fleshy fig). The head is supposed to be tanning goggles and I do not know what baseball team Chris actually goes for so I just picked a random one.

Note: Use your imagination and think of what the dog might have been for. ;-)

Chris: Uggggh what happened. I was having a wonderful dream. Where did this dog come fro... Uh oh.

Over view: Shows all the mini vig’s and larger-ish vig put together. That’s what the technic bricks were used for so I could make it 1 large vig.

Just stuff (more notes):
I do not actually know what baseball team goes for.
The first mini vig: This will never happen. There will always be people who will still like to customize their clones. That doesn’t mean you have to go and put rude comments and MOC’s about them on MOC pages.
The second mini vig: Unfortunately our great Sean Kenney may not ever get to share wine with Jesus in this world.
The third mini vig: Yuri would never, ever buy MEGABLOCKS.
The fourth mini vig: Chris is just too super hunk to be found wearing a bikini... ever. (LOL)

Right, now just to clarify with everyone these are all just jokes and nothing more. So please don’t take any offence by them.

Nice vigs, and some nice jokes inside (friendly but not lol), and great photos in most cases (far better than I can do). What's keeping your score down is the fairly loose contact with your category and the "chunky" description mixed with builder's notes without distinction. Still, your technique is as good as mine (that means average) and there's a nice "minimalist" design about your MOC that reminds me closely of Phipson's stuff. May I also suggest to get parts that at least look a bit like our figs' before attempting sig-fig humour? Overall an average entry. 5 points.
