The "Judge". 50% Industrial Era, 50% Future car, 100% Pimp.
About this creation
UPDATE 7/25/2011 Now with build instruction, go nuts!
I began working on this about 4 days ago, trying to get the creative juices flowing for the Sci-Fi contest here
I started with the front, and at that point my intention was to make a space John Deere tractor. I finished the engine housing on the front and set it down for a night, the next day I came back and started conceptualizing what the back should look like, and the John Deere was dead. I added a longer snout and slimmed down the mid section, I was trying to get the effect that the engine is just gonna take off without the rest of the car, almost ridiculously so.
CAUTION: This is extremely Swooshable! I've freaked my cat out numerous times "swooshing" around the apartment.
I actually spent almost as much time coming up with this little pipe assembly as I did the rest of the car. I knew I wanted to add something steampunkish to keep that industrial effect, I just couldn't come up with a good way to make it look natural. I'm happy witht the final result.
Though very sturdy, alot of the sections are easily removable, allowing quick access for modifications.

Once again, you display an absolute commitment to quality on every square centimeter of your MOC. There is no "ugly underside" or unfinished part. It's all absolutely tight, and deliberately built. It looks legit form every perspective. And as always, the photography is perfect. Attack! |

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone! As to Justin L.'s comment, the flaps close via a series of 1x2 hinges, the first pics show it closed. Due to some suggestions off Mocpages, I am planning a V2 with a alternate to the greebles outside those hinges(the 1x1 rounds, 1x2 grill, and 1x1 cone). The more I look at this, the more I think it's not quite speedy enough, so I'm also going to look at making the arse smaller. If YOU have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks again. |

Hmm...Wouldn't it be cool if you could close the flaps over the hover assembly? Nice ship, good luck in the contest! |

Very cool. Love the design, and it's very "playable." And, not a stud or hole in sight. One of those creations that people who don't visit sights like this one would say "that's made of Legos?!?" |

I really like the space age tractor idea. Tractors have many uses and ideas for attachments should be awesome. Cleaning up space trash. Building space communities. robotic arms. The ideas can be limitless. Good job. |
