The 1,001 Horsepower beast, Redone and remastered.
This is version 2 of the Bugatti Veyron I did a while back, (2 years to be exact!) and I felt that it was time for a refresh; new parts, style and techniques! (and a few facts on the side)
About this creation
Bugatti Veyron (version 2)
Red
Blue
Spoiler Functions: The Bugatti Veyron has an active spoiler system that helps keep the car under control. With each height and angle degree of the spoiler aiding the car's maneuverability in certain conditions.
Stability: In this position the spoiler rises up at around 80MPH which gains 770lbs. of Downforce.
High Speed: Using the "Top Speed Key" the spoiler lowers down at 130MPH to reduce drag, but is still at an angle to provide some downforce.
Braking: At speeds above 120MPH the spoiler rises to a 55 degree angle acting as an airbrake.
(my car can do this too!... except I have to press the remote boot/trunk-lid opener on my keys and my rear view is blinded when I do, but still!)
Stowed
Other colors
White
Yellow
You think buying one of these cars is expensive just look at the maintenance costs!
Just the tires for example: the Michelin Pilot Sport 2s made with the Veyron's unique compound cost about $30,000. Bugatti recommends changing them every 2,500 miles, and at every 10,000 miles the company recommends changing the wheels and tires, which runs north of $50,000. In between those wheel changes will be things like routine maintenance, with an annual service setting you back about $20,000 (from autoblog)
And I thought balancing a girlfriend and a Lego addiction was expensive, but I know that prices and costs like these are only a few drops in a bucket for the people who can actually afford the Veyron.
That's all for today! comeback soon, because I'll have the first-ever realistic 4-wide chassis posted in a few days! (or weeks!)
