Y-wing Fighter V2
well here is my second version of my not-so-famous Custom Y-wing. the canopy is redesigned to be more compact. to make it open i had to sacrifice two 1 by 1 square studs with clips and one 1 by 1 square stud with different clip. then i used hot glue to secure them to the canopy BUT i only used 2 of the 3 clips because i realized i glued them slightly to the left when i wanted them to be all the way to the right....i know this doesnt make sence but i dont know how else to say it. well i also widened the nose and sides of the front, lengthened the neck by about 4 studs and lengthened the engines by a cupple of studs. plus the rest of the engine where it is empty. i rounded the underside and added new detail to the neck....so there you have it. please enjoy the pictures
About this creation

canopy closed with new turret and extended cockpit

canopy open with turret to the side

other side of canopy. MUCH MORE compact than my first version.

some detail (changed a lot of it...well really all of it)

engines (i made them longer, both parts)

bottom from the side, i made it more round and the white plates are angled to make it more rounded at the edges

front, made it bigger from 4 studs to 6 wide

custom stand for it. not much to say but it is sturdy and the ship doesnt fall of easily.

so please rate and comment. any comment is accepted

I understand that you tried your best to make it realistic as possible, but I don't think cutting a piece into two isn't the best thing to do... But besides that, I really like it!

Ah. I just had a very vauge memory from a StarWars game I rented about three years ago, and in all the space battles it called the Y-Wing a bomber. Not a very capable fighter with the armament it had in the game, though. Proton Torps, chin-mounted Heavy Plasma Stand-off-Cannon, and one very ineffective twin-barrle oscilating plasma cannons on either side of the cockpit. Either way, this thing's awesome.

Quoting jace elliott Exeptional detail and accuracy, but, uh... is,'t the Y-Wing a bomber?
uhh it is a fighter/bomber. i just think u r thinking of the lego groups bomber when it really isnt like that. i baised mine of a fighter, not really a bomber. but u like my ship? NOONE NOTICES THAT THE CANOPY ON EVERY SINGLE Y-WING BESIDES MINE IS WRONG!!!

To answer your question, yes I could but that takes a lot of time, clicking on it, waiting for it to load, clicking back, more loading, and it goes on and on. Most builders prefer the Large setting for easier viewing.

Cool! It seems you put much effort into the MOC and loaded it with many, many details. But ya know what? I can't see them. Use the "Large" setting so people can see the details.
