Well this is my first moc in like 6-7 months. Just picked up some pieces and started building. So far its a Clone battle in the clone wars era. Not sure what ice planet it is. Clone advancements to take the CS main base depends on keeping the bridge under republic control. Its just one of many bridges leading them to victory. Liquid nitrogen prevents both sides from crossing through the river as one would freeze to a solid and suffer a quick cold death. thermal lights and temperature controlled surfaces prevent it too becoming a casualty to the elements.

I'm going to say right now, this is one of the better MOCs i've seen. I like the color scheme, and this gives me an urban feeling, being a bridge with this colore sheme. The detail on the bridge is great, but it could be better (maybe make the side panels the ridged bulk pieces) but i'm not going to judge anyghing on that, for i could say that about anything. I love what you used for the rails, and the fact that you actually made pillars and attached chains to them makes me rate this MOC a 5/5. The SNOT you used on the bridge adds a touch of realism to it, which is always great in a Lego MOC. I like how jammed the battle is. It also reminds me of an urban battle. Being a bridge, it's definitally going to be over water....but using the water to put a speeder and a couple other things makes this battle, a BATTLE. |

Great job! The bridge is awesome, you'd have thought it's a secret boxed set. I love the details especially the little lights hanging from droid arms underneath the stairway. I like how you came up with a reason why they needed a bridge over what we'd call in the south a lil' ole' crick.
My only criticisms would be that it's very busy.It looks like you took a chest of legos and just dumped it on the bridge after placing the minifigs. I would clean up some of the excess and then create a central focus, something everyone will see the moment they lay eyes on your awesome construction. Maybe like a Jedi on the very center of the bridge destroying a droideka. I see you have a Jedi fighting a droideka, but with all of the other activity, it's definitely not focal. Second, even though the crick is made of liquid nitrogen, you'd figure the republic could develop something to cross it. I'm pretty sure an AT-TE could cross it without touching it. Jet pack clones can fly over it. Maybe you could make the crick and thus the bridge a little longer, making that nitrogen river a little more daunting.
Overall though, a great battle scene centered around a great model: your bridge. Thanks!
Cool thanx for the critique. Its good to have someone's point a view other then my own. I agree the republic could cross it without a problem. It could have been a longer bridge as well. I didn't really capture the river as well as I wanted too though. I wanted it to look fierce and deadly. Thanx for checking out my moc I got another coming soon. |
