and of course his gun.
The gundam was a lot easier to build than I had originally expected. Just about every surface on it is flat, so it really adds a streamline look, all the brick studs make things look too blocky. In real life the Gundam looks almost exactly like the model(except maybe the head)but my photo taking skills aren't so great, just note that in real life it is about 5 times better than it appears here. If you'd like any other gundams made I'd like to hear your suggestions.
1000 views!!! never thought that would happen.
I may redo this in LDD or build an SD version of it.

Hm, can't believe I missed this. The proportions are excellent, and that shield IS pretty awesome. Have you been thinking about doing anything from the new Gundam AGE series yet, like maybe AGE-1-Spallow?
Well I've only seen the first few episodes of gundam AGE, as I prefer UC series, but if I get further into the series and if I am inspired perhaps. |

they are easily some of the sturdiest pre-made joints out there. The only thing that really outperforms them are the joints that use technic gears. But I wouldn't worry yourself about those just yet. I don't want to sound like one of those people on MOCpages that is all like "look at my stuff", but this might help you out if you want to make a mech that uses those type of joints. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/145503 |

In answer to your earlier question: the click joints for the knees on my second generation frame are made of two of the following pieces: Technic Rotation Joint Disk with Pin Hole and 3L Liftarm Thick stuck together. The sets that these can be found in are: 7470-1 Space shuttle discovery (1), 7671-1 AT-AP Walker (2), 7721-1 Combat Crawler X2(2), 10186-1 General Grievous (2), 10174-1 Imperial AT-ST UCS (4), 7706-1 Mobile Defense Tank (4), 8996-1 Skopio XV1 (16), 7701-1 Striking Venom (8), 8694-1 Titanium Command Rig (2), 4483-1 and 4483-2 AT-AT (8), 4482-1 AT-TE (6). Keep in mind that most of these sets are discontinued and are expensive. It is much easier to purchase them on bricklink. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=44224 is the link. Keep in mind that when I say that there are 8 in a certain set, remember that you need TWO to make one joint, so the number of complete joints you get in a set is half of what I mentioned above. Hope this helps |

hi. thanks for your comment. I will build the whole body, but it wil take a long time. I'm glad to meet another Gundam Fan. Gundam Unicorn is a very nice Gundam, and you did a good job. it looks very nice. About your photo skills, try to avoid taking pictures from the front. you should turn your camera 45 degrees, then it might not look so 2d. trust me. 'D

The first time I tried the torso I could get it to function, but it didn't look good at all, so it is really just trial and error when it comes to that. |
