IAF F-1 'Victorious'
Considered small for a fighter of its class, the 'Victorious' is a dedicated interceptor/strike fighter that is capable of delivering precision-guided as well as 'dumb' munitions. Able to achieve a steady Mach 2.3, and armed with heat-seeking missiles and a 20mm cannon, the Mk1 is a good interceptor.
About this creation

With the air war over China getting hotter by the day, India needed a fast, reliable fighter that could protect the troops and the support aircraft. Not only protect, but also to take the fight to the enemy and win.

Built, tested, and flown successfully in less time than most aircraft are sketched, the Mk1 was an twenty-day wonder that actually worked.

Though small, the engine is no less powerful than larger aircraft.

Equipped with a fully operational radar and comprehensive IFF, as well as the latest in all-aspect target awareness. Infrared target sensors can home in on a target as far away as 4,000 feet up and deliver its ordinance.

One day, the Mk1 will likely serve aboard pioneering aircraft carriers.

Drop tanks add greater range. With this boosted service radius, they could conceivably take off from India and attack targets as far as the Mongolian border.

Here is the Mk1-b. One of the downfalls of the Mig 21 is that the pilot couldn't see behind him at all. Radar is nice, but doesn't replace line-of-sight.

Quoting Steffen Kasteleiner My favorite plane of yours. I love the high-wing construction which makes the cockpit seem low and very interesting (eye-catching). The persepective in which the F-1 looks the best to me is this one: http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=216136&id=/user_images/14536/12801159731 I am also a fan of your solution for the main landing gear - it is creative and realistic looking! Is it stable enough to be played with, though? The vertical stabilizers/side rudders could be a tad bigger, and from the aft, the aircraft looks a little stubby to me. Could you maybe lengthen it a bit? One last suggestion is to make the transition between nose cone and cockpit a bit smoother. Anyways, a very nice fighter! Best regards, Steffen
First off, thank you for the great review, left me with a lot to think about. Yes, it is surprisingly stable on the 'gear, though pivoting the front wheel does make it buckle when rolled. I think the combo of the two 'robot arms' and the T-piece is the strength there. As for the size: I realize that but I must say it reminds me of the A-4's diminutive size, yet surprising effectiveness; so I left it. The nose I had quite a bit of trouble with, so I settled for a design that looked half-descent. Thanks again, and hope I was informative!

Quoting LegoTrooper 101 Wow. Very cool MOC, however, I'm a little confused as to why you've taken an interest in India's defense forces.
India is my country for the 21st Century World Group game. I'm at war with China right now.

Quoting John Moffatt How many of these could I get off of you?
A dozen or so by the next week of time (in the 21st Cen.)
Quoting Anders Cutterhill The engine/exhaust (I'm no airplane expert) seems a bit simplistic, though that may have been the intention?
Yeah, I couldn't keep the size down and make an incredibly intricate design.
Quoting El Barto ! Well built bird! Will it go on a jump-jet type carrier?
With a catapult? I'm pretty sure...
