Ran out of pieces sadly was never finished.around 13ft,one of the nicest carriers of the US Navy.was supposed to be the kittyhawk but somehow put the wrong number on it,used photos of carriers 62,63,and 67.they all look much the same.the ENTERPRISE must be some ship to see, maybe have a go at building that one some day, thanks for all your comments

Now that you mention it, a working elevator would be rather heavy. Was it with a motor or just gears? A motor might add more resistance to it lowering on its own perhaps. Yes, I've noticed they're all in minifig scale and that 27 feet would be quite an undertaking, not to mention expensive! |

I love it! How long did it take you to build it? In one of the pictures from above it looks like part of the flight deck is removed to view the inside of the hanger bay? Is that correct? About the only thing I can think of to add a bit more to it is if the elevators moved up and down at least. The elevator doors to the hanger bay would also be a neat addition. Maybe you could add them to the Enterprise, CVN-65 type, if you ever construct it. Yes, it is a one of a kind ship. Literally.
Yes the elavator goes up and down but wasn't a success being too heavy for the plastic Lego gears to cope with.i broke that up a good few years ago.always fancied building the enterprise but its the sheer size of it.about 27ft minifig scale I think.maybe one day.the IJN Ibuki is 16/17ft long and has a working lift. |

Wow. Any chance of seeing those planes as separate mocs? I'd love to have a better look at them, they look fantastic even in the blurry shots! |

The build is incredible and ambitious and I'm insanely impressed with the level of detail in the ship. However, as a former carrier sailor (USS Enterprise 2003-07), there's one little detail I have to point out. Your build has the hull number CV-62; the Kitty Hawk was CV-63, so technically you built the USS Independence, which is of the previous Forrestal-class of carrier. |

the pieces on the floor were from the big gap you can see see on other photos, that was before it was lengthened, the planes and helicopters are megabloks, next one will have better and more realistic ones.once i gather enough pieces intend to do a nimitz class carrier 1/40 scale(minifig)at 27.5 feet.possible world record.at the moment have enough for the USS TARAWA hence the hovercraft LCAC, |

i love the flight deck and the control tower/ command bridge (the numbers are very well done). 13ft a very very reasonable length for a ship of this sort. it stinks that you couldnt finish the flight deck i would have really liked to see the finished project (what about the pieces i saw on the floor in the picture they could be used). The custom aircraft are awazing. |

Ultimative a great MOC. The ship and the planes. Great designed, Runway fully in black plane created. Fantastic. You have a very great room for this. I wish I had a little bit bigger room for my Lego. |
