this is my version of the famous japanese battleship IJN FUSO,at around 18 ft long 3ft wide and 4 ft high minifig scale.nearly finished, handrails around ,anchors, the emblem on pagoda stands for FU,was on the stern before she was lengthened.floatplanes to do and some kind of background, any comments on the bow wave on the destroyer are welcome, thinking of doing the same on the FUSO,

Very nice build, one of the best MoC around I like the outdated look of the ship with the funnel in the middle and the guns in between, is it not an idea to ad an interior? Anyways very nice build! |

amazing .how much time you spend to build this great war ship
Thanks for your comments.this took about a year to build.it had to be split into sections with moving house.at first I had built the hull in one section but had to change it to four sections.since I joined mocpages I have seen better ways of building so hopefully it will get a rebuild. |

A mighty ship! I like the detailed bridge and superstructure. Your may add a Chrysanthemum medal/flower sign at the bow. About the real ship, she was too old to fight WWII and was sunk by US battleships. |

Partly because of this posting, I find that you seem to be an expert at building historically accurate ships and I think that you would be a true source of inspiration and a valuable giver of advice to future shipbuilders, so I have taken the liberty to invite you to my new group “Ship Builders guide”. |

I love Japanese ships, especially the Yamato class, but this Fuso is amazing. The Fuso isn't really found in Lego form. I wish I could actually build ships like this, but I don't have the Lego/Skill to build them.
I would actually pay you to build me a model of the King George V class Battleship, because thats what I want, but I can't build it! you can email me at Kilwarlinb910@hotmail.co.uk and see exactly what your after size/price etc, thanks for your comment

Thank you so much for the comment. Your work has motivated me to start to rebuild me USS Massachusetts. I hope to finish it soon, please give me some tips I really need it. While destructing I found out that I have the most difficulty with the scaling. Your ships are outstanding I guess you have a lot more experience than me you are an expert at building ships. |

Only 35 likes? That's a REAL punishment to something that should be revered as a MOC to look up to for inspiration. This is, by far, the best MOC I've ever seen. Truly remarkable. |

normally i make them in one piece and u can push it easily to get to various bits.having moved house the fuso was put into 4 hull sections biggest being 7ft long(bow to pagoda)then all the superstructure being lifted off to lift into van,now it sits on the deck atop black tiles incase it needs moving again.a lot of work but worth it,maybe put a bow wave to go with destroyer, once their finished hopefully have enough left to do a light aircraft carrier to sit alongside, looking at lego zero,s to get an idea.

Brilliant ship! By the way, once you've built these ships are you able to move them or are they too heavy? My HMS Warrior is quite heavy and that's only 4ft long! |

Absolutely beautiful! An excellent addition to the rare circle of large-scale military vessels done in Lego. It would be SO much fun to be able to work on this kind of scale - reminds me of the kinds of investments seen with town and train layouts. So now, do you plan to display this wonderful work somewhere, or will you eventually disassemble for future projects? |
