It doesn't really resemble Opel Blitz that much, maybe because it is pretty hard to do it in this scale. I think it looks more like a Mercedes truck from that era but nevertheless the truck is a beauty! I'd keep it on a shelf and never take it apart!

Quoting Eric and Lawson B It's a good thing LEGO makes so many bricks in Gray, isn't it? Makes doing German stuff so much easier than American of British.
That's right. It's a gift, but the old grey would be better, in fact the new one is too bluish.

Udo, somehow this got past me. This is a fantastic build. I can't beleive how much detail you have packed into the chassis of this. It's a good thing LEGO makes so many bricks in Gray, isn't it? Makes doing German stuff so much easier than American of British. Keep up the great work. Regards, Eric.

Now this is what Lego WWII models should look like. Excellent truck, you captured every little detail from the cage in the back to the engine and cab. A fine piece of work. I wish Lego's german truck had looked this good!

This is how the Indiana Jones truck could -and should- have looked like, a total masterpiece vehicle that holds eight seated passengers on the detachable "box" behind the cabin part and LOOKS realistic! As for the instructions, it has to be said that the pictures seem enough, at least for the chassis and the front part of the truck... Anyway, this deserves no less than a 5/5, clearly.
