One of the more effective escape vehicles of Sirrush.
About this creation
Deucalion's theme:
The Deucalion is a one-of-a-kind escape vehicle that the Dragons commissioned the Industrial Zone to create. It was expensive, costing the equivalent of about several hundred million dollors to construct, and time-consuming also, taking the better part of about two years to construct.
The Deucalion is heavily armored, constructed out of starmetal, supported by a very strong frame and powerful engines. Due to its nature as a battlefield escape vehicle, it also has a robust suspension. (Wish I knew how to make a good suspension.)
The Deucalion has an six-wheel drive, with a small one in front, two large ones on the sides, and two smaller ones on either side of a massive wheel in the back. The wheels are sealed in Sirrushian military-grade off-road tires, This gives it impressive traction and turning on just about any terrain. Spiked attachments are added for icy or slippery terrain. It has great speed for its size, though it is slightly slow than most escape vehicles.
It holds one passenger, who is the driver, and is usually reserved for Gaia or Ozahkure.
It has no weapons, save the combination of speed, size, and armor.
If the Deucalion is unable to escape in its current state, it can shed most of its armor and all of its primary wheels, revealing the vaguely motorbike-like frame and two hidden wheels arranged in motorbike style. Once converted to an escape bike, it is extremely fast and agile, but prone to spinning out of control if a turn of more than 112 degrees to either side is attempted. In order for the Deucalion to return to normal mode, the shed parts must be gathered back up and reattached manually.
Alright, build notes. I actually built this a while back, but didn't post it until now. It was originally intended to be an armored motorbike, but it was redisgned after I built the frame. It went through several redesigns, even having a tank tread at one point. The front wheel can be swung up and down in a large arm, and the armor on either side of the driver's area lifts enough for a minifigure to be put in and taken out. There are a couple of other areas that have a small degree of positioning. This is my official return MOC, and I'll try to post more as quickly as I can.
Hello everyone in the Isle of Thorns! Just a quick note to tell you to check out the current contest going on – Tribes of Bara Magna! Feel free to delete this after you read it. The lack of PM-ing on MOCpages is quite frustrating.~Gringat
