Originally created in March 2008, Galinhad was my first ever MOC on MOCages. Since then he'd almost disappeared from my storyline, until the BRC revived him and I entered him in the Veloco-Nui story. He also ties into my Spherus Magna storyline.

Galinhad had always been an adventurous sort, even as a matoran. He had no special powers or anything when he started the Brothers In Arms, a mercenary group, although he posessed an incredible resilience against damage, due to being a Fe-Matoran. His combat skills used this to his advantage. Basically, he's a tank.

He left his home on the Island of Poliaz for Xia, after hearing about the weaponmakers and such there (such as Ferrum and Gringat). He eventually made a home there, hiring himself out do deal with professional mercenary jobs, or hanging around various bars waiting for brawls to break out.

On Xia, he made an amaxing discovery: a great cave beneath Xia led close to the Shadowcaverns (monstrous tunnels within the Mata-Nui robot himself). He encountered crystals that made him more powerful. Secretly, he used these crystals to augment his own strength and size, although he did not find a way to unlock his iron powers. Galinhad became a titan. As such, he decided he would be more useful somewhere tougher.

When the Metru-Nui civil war broke out, Galinhad was one of many mercenaries and toa who came in to try and stop the fighting. It is there he met the hordika Cydroc. The two worked together and became friends. Eventually Cydroc joined Galinhad on Xia to work with him, and gradually more members joined their cause - Vlidrakh the makuta, Keograkos, Toa Cyrias and Hceat Drawde.

During the reformation of Spherus Magna, Galinhad and the other surviving BIA members fought on the side of the Toa Nuva, and defended Iconox during a crucial battle against the Vortixx, whom Galihad was very experienced at fighting.

On Spherus Magna, the BIA had little more mercenary work to do while the Matoran and Agori repopulated the planet. They mainly aided the toa and glatorian, until eventually, when Tanggri approached them, she used toa stones to turn Galinhad and Hcaet into fully-fledged toa. They joined the KoSM in order to protect Spherus Magna against new threats.

Tanggri became a close friend of the BIA members, especially Galinhad. The two have become close.

As a toa of Iron, Galinhad has the ability to manipulate metal, create metal and unleash nova-blasts. He typically wears very heavy armour and carries a longsword and a tower shield. His mask allows him to peer through solid objects and in the dark, and it is equipped with rebreathers so that he can work in underwater/poisonous conditions.

Like almost all matoran who lived in the Matoran Universe, Galinhad died during the Soulplague that swept Spherus Magna after the Mask of Life shattered.

Fourth Wall Commentary

I designed Galinhad to look bulky and heavily armoured. The feet come from Duncan Bulk (the Hero Factory set), the shoulders from a Knights Kingdom set, and the ankle design goes to shadowgear6335 of YouTube. He uses a variant of my own body design, and the hands and feet were inspired by the steel armour in the game Oblivion.
Both the sword and shield clip onto his back, and he is entirely purist.

Great as always, but my real reason to comment is on the Hero Factory. What's the deal with it? Are the Pieces as compatable as they say they are? And lastly, are they worth it? Obliged for answers

This right here is a work of art. It's the first MOC I've seen to use the Hero Factory feet, and well at that. Color scheme is perfect, bulkiness well- distributed. 10/10

Nice job man. Listen I've hit a bit of a stand still in all of my mocs, but I've started both of your character. (never had so much trouble with a head design. not even with the Hynaks.) Any more details about them you want to throw my way?
