Oh, the things you can do with LEGOs... this is some of the stuff I made prior to joining MOC pages.
About this creation
The splash photo is an old-fashioned car I made to put next to my #10194 Emerald Night... model succesful, the syles match and they look cool together. The driver was added as a bit of an inside joke.
Here's an F-18 Hornet that I made... the custom color scheme was loosely based off of NASA's F-18 testing aircraft, mostly because I didn't have enough jet engine pieces in grey. The wings and landing gear fold, and the ailerons, aka flaps, on the wings really move. The overall shape has some slight innaccuracies... but someone I know who works with Hornets occasionally recognized it when I showed it to him, so I'm pretty happy with it.
Another car... I like making six-wide cars, mostly because I'm not as gifted as the masters of LEGOŽ cars, such as Firas Abu-Jaber, and can't make them much bigger without making them look awful and innaccurate (I'm working on that). It's loosely based off of a Ferrari Spyder, but then it morphed into something with just a touch of Porsche and too much blockiness. I made a later version that had a working convertible roof, but wasn't smart enough to photograph it. Oh well.
I conclude with this pig. A friend of mine called it "cute," which I found mildly annoying, but nevertheless I liked how it turned out too much to dismantle it without properly documenting it first. Why LEGOŽ has special pig-shaped elements (like in model #7566) when they could use these is beyond me.
EDIT December 2nd, 2010 - After an inquiry about the rarity of pink pieces, I discovered that I had edited the image and then forgotten about it. The original was probably white.
So that's what I've been up to all my MOC-free years... there's been a lot more, but most of it's been dismantled without being photographed, and not all of it was this good. Thanks for viewing, and comments, whether compliments or criticism, are always welcome.

Not a problem W. Just wanted to let you know that I did go ahead and use the pig in a private MOC and thank you for the pointers.(And you were right, it's just as good in tan). |

wow @ pig. don't think any other color could do it. how many pieces total?
Uhh... ten, I think. You'd be surprised about the colors. Tan and white work quite well.

So, I'm almost ready to carry out my threat of copying the pig (with full credit of course). I have just the use for it, and I can't imagine it being done better than this. You're not kidding about those pink parts though. I don't even see them in pink in the BrickLink catalog (never mind actually on sale). Do you have any idea why the catalog would not have them? Thanks for any pointers.
Wow... shocking scandal on my hard-drive! I went back and double checked my collection... I don't have those pieces in pink, either. Suspicious, I checked the image itself and discovered I had edited it in my early teens, when I first got GIMP. Sorry if this has caused you misconvenience, you may need to try tan or white instead (or edit, like I did...). I'll put a note in the creation about this little fiasco. |

A lot of nice SNOT work resulting in great shaping. Cute pig. That is sure to be used.
SNOT techniques are my favorite. I must warn you that it's nigh on impossible to get the pieces for the pig in pink... white or tan is somewhat easier. Thanks for commenting. |

welcome to the pages. i like the f-18. especially the designs you used off the nasa test sircraft.
Thanks! I would've made the colors more accurate, but I don't think LEGO even makes dark blue elements in the proper shape. |

1st of; Welcome to MOCpages :)
2nd thing thanks for all your kind comments on my Models, much appreciated. Your little MOCs here are great, but my fav. has to be that nice and creative car in the main pic, good job. PS. Master!? :0 I'm hardly just a "good" builder, but thanks any way, glad you like my work. Keep on the great work >>> Peace.. Firas
Hey, thanks a lot for your comment, and your welcome. I must say I completely disagree with your evaluation of your own skills though... you and Patrick L. are the two best car builders on MOC pages, to my knowledge.

Well I think the car in the main picture is the best out of all of these, but they're still all good. It's cool to see pre-moc creations once in a while.
