While taking a break from my upcoming "Heavy metal" creation/s, I took a little time to make the third mech I have constructed within my time on the 'pages. I present the "Zappo" Rubbish-Cleaner mecha.
About this creation
The Zappo has one purpose, to clean up garbage and debris. No combat purposes, therefore it has no guns or weapons of any kind. Hulking, rough, and large, the Zappo is extremely strong and surprisingly quick. I called it a "monomech" in the title because of it's single wheel.
This is it's scooper arm, used for shoveling up smaller bits of debris. (Little known fact: I used to pronounce the "s" in debris)
It's grabber arm, used for picking up larger containers and big chunks of rock/metal/wood.
A close-up of the big pincher.
And the arm.
Now heading down a little bit to the wheel. This shouldn't come as surprise, but obviously, the single wheel doesn't stabilize the body, I set it's arms on the ground to take pictures.
A back shot, you can see four exhaust and heat pipes. If this were real, the wheel wouldn't be pushing against the back end like that, it would be more vertical, like in the picture above.
Vents, the engine is situated pretty much right inside there, that's why the vents are there, to let the heat escape, pictures of the engine will be somewhere below.
Some of the inner workings of the Zappo. Since it isn't a war-vehicle, it doesn't have to be very protected.
Surprisingly, I was able to get even closer, but nothing is too clear here...
When the engine is in need a repair, the back can be taken off.
A close-up of the engine, as I said would be coming a few pictures above...
It isn't that small, the engine stretches back for four studs.
This is the cockpit area. Half of the engine extends outside the vehicle, then branches into pipes that let go of excess chemicals, heat, and gas. Healthy huh?
This is where he hooks up with pack, containing his lunch. directions, things like that.
Another shot of the engine.
I guess I was aiming for the branching pipe connecting the two exhaust pipes together.
The cockpit without a person in it.
It wasn't until AFTER I built this that I noticed how much this looked like a face!! I love it!
I guess I should have put this up with the other pictures of the wheel...
Well, this was once again a try at making a mech, but larger than the Highlander, thank you for checking it out, and I'd like to hear if you have any feedback.
The next MOC that will be up on my page will be my "heavy metal" MOC/s. So stay tuned! I'm still having trouble coming up with an idea for one last part...
awesome. sorry i couldnt comment on it when you added it, i had personal business that day, but anyway awesome moc, like the colors and detail. when describing it you sounded like you were talking about a steampunk moc with all the vents, engines, and wheels. say, that could be an idea for you as a future moc, make a steampunk. also, i like the colors alot. great job. oh and , cant wait for those mocs youve ben advertising recently. i will try to add some new mocs soon in the future, so expect me back soon.
