Since joining the Galactic Anthropic Imperial Armada, I've been inspired. So this is a frigate that I built.
About this creation
Important crew of the Defiant Justice
Captain Kodura Hethel
1st Lt. Sasha Rilkets- 1st mate
2nd Lt. Therin Goyure- Fighter wing commander
2nd Lt. Rita Williams- Head Engineer

The Defiant Justice is a field frigate, designed to be fast and sleek. These craft act like messengers and couriers. As such, it requires fast powerful engines, such as the ones seen here.

Who says a courier can't be armed? The Defiant Justice comes fully equipped with a main cannon, located in the bow of the ship, two heavy artillery turrets, and 4 torpedo tubes located under the foreward "wings".

A close up of the bridge and one side of the hanger doors. The Defiant Justice can carry 4 RB-24 Skifters.

In the case of major ship damage, and the ship has to be abandoned, the bridge section can be ejected and serve as a rescue barge.

A front view of the Defiant Justice, showing the location of the Main Cannon (the blue brick with the technic pin hole). It has a small front profile.

A dorsal view of the Defiant Justice. Under the foreward "wings" are the torpedo launchers, two on each side.

A front and back view comparison of Defiant Justice and the Skifter fighter. I was actually intending to build a bomber using the Skifter as a template. Instead it became a frigate. Oh well, what can you do?

I like the useage of the old space set wheels.
Thanks. I was looking for a way to use them and that sort of fell into my lap. Literally. |

Awesome! I really like that color scheme!
Thanks. The addition of the blue was purely incidental though.

Ah, the wonderful world of microscale is alive and well I see! The overall shape is very pleasing and the bridge/life boat is a great touch. Just one question, how in the heck is that giant fighter supposed to fit through that teeny-weeny door? Is your frigate like the Tardis and bigger on the inside? Don't mind me I'm just yanking your chain a little. I get like that from time to time, must be the old age thing setting in!
Wait till you see what else I can fit inside it. *Wink* None of us are getting any younger, so it's quite alright. |

Hehe, it's nice to see a different take on microscale big gun ships for GAIA. The empire is galactic wide and full of different planets and styles. Mine are what I call typical earthforce pattern designs, but you seem to have your own style which is fun to see. I hope you make up a home world to go with these. Neat build, and nice loud colors...
I am so honored. I was worried that this might not be acceptable, so I'm glad you liked it.

To be honest, I don't really like the use of large parts this much, and the colors are a tad bright....but on the other hand, there is a certain art to what you've done here. Upon closer examination it looks like you meant to do all that--you found a use for large, clunky parts, weird colors, and EF stickers. Now that is talent!
Now this is a very interesting feedback. Yes, well, I was trying to find a use for those large clunky parts, though I recently become fond of the combo of white, orange, and black. The addition of the blue was necesitated by the parts I needed to use. The stickers were a good match for what I used. The main reason for this design, was that it was supposed to be a bomber similar in design to the Skifter. Thank you for your feedback. |
