As my turbo tank wasn't very popular (or someone says it's a "rip off") I decided to build something extraordinarily. Here it is, my new AT-AP, made with the help of Wookiepedia models. I also want to show it compare with the official set.
About this creation
If you build a two legged walker in this size, the most difficult task is to make the legs which can hold it right. I think every builder makes his own leg designs, or use the official as a sample....and of course every walker has it's own leg design.
This walker has a third leg. Without it, AT-APs are faster (quite fast, watch the Kashyyyk part in SW3), and it's third leg serves as a stabilizer, when the walker uses it's cannons.
Let's see the official. Looks to be a good set, lots of parts, shock troopers, and a nice moc with reasonable price, but the whole thing can not mach the one in the movie. But this is only my oppinion. Now, I wanted to create the real AT-AP of the Kashyyyk scene.
FRONT---I made a lot of details, and the little hatch on the front and the sides are also openable.
The cockpit. Has two seats accomodate my only shocktrooper.
But technology continuously improves, so more is possible all the time. I read once that a famous architect (I forget who) wanted to design a skyscraper more than a mile high. He believed it could be done.
