... Sorry, I can't help you with that. But I can show you a nifty little 5-speed H-pattern shifter! Out of my desire to someday own a car with a stickshift, I built this little device to quench my shifting needs... spare the footwork :) It has 5 driving speeds and and a reverse gear. The stick is held in with a ball-socket joint: I literally ripped off a spider droid's head in the making of this creation :D Please review, and thanks for looking!
Here a video I made of the creation. It shifts really smoothly, except in 5th and R it rubs a bit.
Here's an overview, showing which slot is for which gear.
The mechanism is tucked neatly into a little cube, which can be carried anywhere. As I'm typing this, it's sitting next to me on my desk :)
Shot of the guts of the machine. Fairly simple, as I said: a ball-socket joint is the only fancy stuff here.
where do you get the ball-socket joint? are they rare, do certain sets have them?
I like it

I was wondering how you got a Technic transmission in that little box. Still creative, though. You still need a clutch pedal, if you want to be realistic.
