A band of space pirates has attacked and boarded the Red Dwarf. A small Starcruiser, light and fast, this kind of ship has yielded precious cargoes of varying natures in their past experiences, and the pirates don't intend to turn down the opportunity to raid one again. What is different this time, however, is that, unknown to them, an important politician is on board the ship. He is protected by a heavily-armed contingent of marines. Corridors are now battlefields.... (This is my first minifig-scale space creation. Please comment and tell me what you think!) About this creation
The empty corridors.
The printed tiles on the walls here (from 7709 Sentai Headquarters, of the Exo-Force theme) gave this MOC a nice, slight Battlestar Galactica touch. After all, truth be told the second episode of Season 2 of the newer Battlestar Galactica series, "Valley of Darkness", served as the inspiration for this MOC. I felt that taking on the subject of pirates (instead of Cylon Centurions) was logical. If we ever have space travel like this, we will have space pirates, don't you think?
As you can see, getting the slightly slanted effect to the corridor wasn't very easy!
The marines. (Creative influence goes to Robert Heinlein's Mobile Infantry in the novel "Starship Troopers".)
The motley, but deadly efficient, band of space pirates.
Naval officer, maintenance robot, and politician.

Nice work, I like how you made everything so close-quarters and frantic! :)
Thank you! I appreciate your comment; one of my common criticisms is that my MOCs are too "close-quarters and frantic" so it is very nice to finally have someone who gets that this was my intention in the first place! :-P |

I really like all of the details you added underneath the floor panels. Good thinking.
Why thank you! It ended up happening by accident; I ran across my floor grill plates and thought, "Hmmm..." and the rest is history. :-D |

Wow. This is really good, but it only has 10 i like its! It should have more. BTW nice bending technique for the corridor.
Hahaha, thank you my friend. Every single "I like it" is much appreciated, ten, or a hundred! Thanks for stopping by! |

My mind exploded! Anyway, this is too good. You need to get more well known and then you'll be famous! 5/5! ~Stay green my friends

Dude, a lot going on here! That was a good episode, with those Cylons ramming around the Galactica. And only explosive rounds could get 'em. Very well done corridor!
Frakkin' scary, those near-invincible Cylons! Thanks; the corridor was a challenge, but I love the end result. |

What a lovely, lovely post! Though I'd have preferred a larger layout, and maybe a better text distribution. The MOC is still astoundingly detailed!

Cool! Although there is almost too much going on though.
Thanks for the input. Though to be honest, I was going for the crowded effect actually...I tend to like it myself. I felt it gave this scene a chaotic, desperate vibe. |
