Who dares to threat the peace Gala Magna has strived so long for? They shall meet Dystor, the Gatekeeper!
About this creation
Gala Magna:a small world , so much covered in white sands that it looks like a milk drop in the light of the sun of the Spherus Magna system...
For countless years the grim Dystor has fought for the freedom of its people from the threat of the power-hungry warlords, or even against the threat of total annihilation.
Dystor 650 years ago...
...320 years ago...
... and now.
After the battle against Trauma, Dystor merged with the 6-gear and was made into a titan, with the purpose of protecting the world from any new aspiring Warlord.
He started destroying all the power places that young Glatorans could use to transform into higher forms, and gathered all the artifacts that could be used to that same end.
He then brought all those artefacts inside a sealed temple, and he stood guard ever since. In time, the power emanating from the temple kept mutating him more and more, turning him into an insurmountable obstacle for power-seekers.
He can use the elements from the 6-gear (Fire, Ice, Metal, Plant, Stone, Light), he can breathe dissolving gas derived from his ancient disintegrating touch, and he has 2 plasma cannons on his shoulders. And don't forget his powersaw claws...
As a consequence, in these few hundred years Gala Magna has become an advanced and peaceful civilization, devoted to art, literature, entertainment and the exploration of nearby worlds...
And yet, despite all those before them never returned from the Temple of Lost Powers, these two mugs decided to have a shot at it nontheless.
Gry and Nyar, an infamous couple of ruthless raiders, wanted over half of Gala Magna (and unwelcome in the other half) are best known for their bloody heists on temples, and wherever they think they can find stuff that can enhance their powers.
Gry is a descendant of Jirei's older nobility (even if now Gala Magna is a federation of republican city-states). The Rahi blood in his family gave him the gift of 4 arms and wings, and the power of Plasma. He was one of the greatest sportsmen in the continent before turning rogue.
Nyar is an highly evolved swamp rahi, a side evolution of Darkness boons. He's the one constantly whispering in Gry's ear words of conquest and glory, arousing his thirst for power.
Though in a direct fight he's not a match for Gry, Nyar's tricky "Labirynth of Light and Shadow" is the closest thing to a genuine "mirror" ability they have, and their best shot at defeating the Keeper.
What will be the outcome? Will the Keeper keep the gate, or will there be more Warlords in the future of the long-peaceful Gala magna?
Only time will tell.
Of course Gry can count on his plasma shields and beams...
(look at how cool Neon Blue is! I want system pieces in this color too! But they don't exist!)
But Dystor has shields and beams too! (yes, it's the opening picture)
Size comparison shot. When standing tall, Dystor is over 50 cm (20 in) tall.
Dystor, Keeper version, is loosely inspired from my very old Extreme Gatekeeper
He's extremely poseable, most of all in the upper part.
It flexes the torso in 2 points! (chest/abdomen/hips sections)
And what can you say about these feet? Sweet!
Note #1: Did you know I was really embarassed at first about posting a story to go along with a MOC? It just felt so childish... Took me a while to realize that a solid backstory really helps bringing a MOC to life :)
Note #2: AAARGH! I forgot to take any pictures with his arms risen! It's all Gry's and Nyar's fault! They're too short! Well, since it uses a shoulder techniques I used in other titans, you can see it there.
Well, that's about it. I'll add notes as they come to mind.

Right up my alley, the stance, the colors, but most of all; the FEET. Love that splayed split-claw look. Vaguely T:ROTF megatron-ish, and sharp with it. This is splendid, Sir! |

Wow, love bionicle skills! Bionicle has never been my cup of tea, but when it is done right it can be awesome. So, you did it right and made these three guy look very detailed, almost alive. The huge black guy is the best, imo, his feet turned out pretty well, with the three toes. Man, as A Cthulu enthusiast, got to say, these things really appeal, wicked curves and details. The black - gold & red highlighteded one is just intense, of a truly sinister aspect. I don't even know what parts goes into making these, an alien genre for me, but can still appreciate an awesome build. awesome new mocs, especially dystor. i see you finally found some gold pieces, hmm, you most be really happy. but what intriques me the most the black and white tinged pieces on nyrar, i dont know where they came from. i assume it was that big mahri playset that you got for christmas, no wi wish i had that. the story is really cool, and alike to the other ones. |

As you might have guessed, I'm pretty much done with giants. I have one last gigantic project coming up (it will be quite some time), but I'm going for more "manageable" stuff untill I move to my new home, going for quality rather than quantity.

Seeing that guy below: My Spheroids and Akonians and stuff are already in contact with MAOX... but anyhoo... WOW. And here I thought Dystor couldn't get any more awesome! This is almost too awesome to be allowed, and your story is great too :) -I'm wondering, would I be allowed to make a MOC of Dystor? I have the Vladek mask, the other two are in use sadly...
