I have that problem as well! For evry new MOc I make I usually have to dismantle an old one. Not just for pieces but for space! I have far too much Lego to display in my little hut. :( |

Thanks for those great comments and suggestions! Sadly, I don't have enough space or bricks to keep my constructions up for long, and we had another show just a month later, so the wood of Endor trees was harvested to make a beach boardwalk. It's like the circle of life, only made of plastic bricks!I am working hard to create better natural environments, so this was a valuable learning experience. |

How dare Legostarwarsfreak call himself a Legostarwarsfreak when he doesn't know that Endor has big trees!
Great MOC. This is very much like the village where I live. The little mounds/ hill things on the ground look awesome too. I like to build lots of Endor MOCs for my tribe of 13 to live in, so I am quite experienced at them now. I suffer from just the lack of pieces that you do. Here are a few tips to get round this.
Firstly, make all the trees thinner. If you look, my people have their huts built not just in, but around the tree trunks. By doing this, you can save pieces, keep the huts the same size and make it more movie accurate.
Secondly, you can use the pieces you saved by doing step one to make the trees taller. In reality, the Ewok villages, "Bright Tree Village" for example, are over forty meters from the ground.
Thirdly, add more texture to the ground. I love the little hillocks you have there already but, if you have the bricks, Cover the forest floor withe different ground levels. This makes your forest look more realistic and you can incorporate little hollows or even caves!
Fourthly, IT DOESN'T MATTER that you have no more trees for the ground, forests have clearings!BUT, arrange them more carefully, making the empty bits look more meant and apply step three to make the gaps look more interesting. If you do this,it will look more skillful and less like you have run out of pieces.
Fithly(if thats a proper word), That tree you have with the palm fronds on, take off the top two layers and let some other trees have palm fronds too. The trees look fine with only one layer and it will make your other trees look better.
Sixthly(spellchek is shouting at me), sorry to be pedantic but my people don't generally have ladders, we have spiral stair cases and vines. (And bridges like the awesome one you have.)
That "sixthly" should have been lastly because that seems to be the end of my moaning. Despite all this, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR MOC!
Happy MOCing

very nive, can see, that you have invested time, money and much love.
But are the big trees on Kashyyyk and not on Endor?
Both planets have big trees, but I'm old enough to be more of a classic SW fan, so I built the Moon of Endor. The scenes from Return of the Jedi were shot in Redwood forests in California, so those are definitely some BIG trees!

OMG AMAZING !! This should be on Brickfair ! This is the best one that i'v ever seen! But i have some complaints about it though , like Endor is a planet full of plants , i didn't see any plants on the Baseplates but the trees and the village are AMAZING !!! =D |

Yay! Another female builder. This looks pretty cool. I'd like to see some of those studs on the base plate covered with tiles, though. |

You're right that it needs more plants, but I used every green plant piece I had and it still seems rather barren. I'm going to add a whole lot of grass/flower stems during set up for the show, which ought to help some. Thanks for the comments! :) |
