This is the first of my "Diorama-Comic" series. Each diorama will have a story being played in the middle of it!
About this creation
The planet Draakal is somewhat smaller than Earth in size, covered with lush grass and small trees. In this area, Captain Netroph has set up a base in a clearing and is searching for Separatist forces.

Clone Trooper: Hey, captain!
Netroph: What is it?
Clone Trooper: Found another one.
Netroph: How many busted droids are on this planet?
Clone Trooper Lieutenant*: A lot. Lets get this one over to the junk pile.
*The lieutenant has an antenna.

Clone Trooper: Copy that, sir. Hey, DT-546, help me with this clunker!
DT-546*: I'm coming.
Clone Trooper: Wait a second...Hey, this one is a s-Agh!
*DT-546 is another clone's identification thing.

**********Surprise**************
DT-546: He's dead!
Battle Droid: Drop your weapons!
Netroph: What the...wait, Battle Droids?

Clone Trooper (In the Base): Ack! Where'd they come from?
Clone Gunner: Should I fire?
Netroph: No! We don't have a chance against so many droids.

Clone Trooper (In the Base): I'll show you! Stupid droids!
Netroph: DT-214! Don't do it!
Rocket Droid: Open fire!

Rocket Droid: Target locked.
DT-214: Die, you beast!
Rocket Droid fires his weapon.

DT-214: No! I won't die! No! Save me!
Battle Droid: Drop your weapons!
Rocket Droid: You are surrounded, you have no chance of defeating us. Now, hurry with those weapons!
Rocket Droid: Surrender!
Clone Gunner: Ack! Okay, I surrender! *Shivers*
Rocket Droid: Get the others!
As it turns out, this droid was playing dead, and waiting for the rest of the squad to come for the ambush.
Battle Droid: Guard the captain! I don't trust him.
Battle Droid (2): Hey, you! What's that thing on your helmet?
Clone Lieutenant: This? *Points to antenna* Oh, that's nothing, its a decoration!
Netroph: Fine, fine, here, these are my pistols.
Battle Droid: Take them.
The Clone Troopers are relieved of their weapons, and they are piled next to a tree along with the dead clone.
Battle Droid: Attention! Hail the Battle Droid Commander!
Commander: I see the ambush has succeeded.
Battle Droid: Yes. What do we do with the prisoners?
Commander: Prisoners? Dispose of them!
Clone Trooper Lieutenant: Dispose of us? Uh, oh...
Commander: Alright, line up behind the wall, and don't try anything funny!
The Clone Troopers march slowly behind the wall and organize themselves.
Commander: When you get the signal, fire!
Battle Droids: Yes, sir!
DT-219: Lieutenant! Do you copy? What is your position? Where did you go?
Clone Trooper Lieutenant: DT-219! Come out! Hurry, this is urgent!
DT-219 I'm on my way!
Rocket Droid: Did you hear that? It's the prisoner!
DT-219: Die, you clunker!
Rocket Droid: Ugh...
Commander: Kill him! The one with the antenna!
Clone Trooper: Agh!
Clone Trooper Lieutenant: No! Ack!
Commander: Rocket Droid! Get up here!
Rocket Droid: Yes, sir!
Commander: Stupid Clone Troopers! You let that one slip your minds, eh? Open fire!
Rocket Droid: Roger, roger!
All Clone Troopers: Argh!
All the stuff used for the Clone Troopers to stand on in the dio'.
The disguised door the reinforcements burst out of. Sorry I forgot to post pictures of clones inside and the door in it's place.

The turret. I cheated and used brown, but I didn't have any other pieces, so I kind of had to.

The Clone Gunner operating the turret.
Update (As of 08/01/2010): As you can see, I put off finishing the story for quite some time. I didn't have the motivation to finish it. =9 Anyway, I still have that Valinia Dio' that I need to finish.

Nice story and dio, the set up was nice and the turret thing is good. (I didn't see the brown in the actual comic) |

Quoting Captain Stryke
I have to say this needs a bit more work and the pics are a bit small. Try using a different ground to your carpet. I started using a white background
Yeah, I have a habit of making the first batch of eight pictures large and the rest small. For the different background, did you use paper? What material did you use? Your advice will be appreciated. |
