UCS Alpha-3 Nimbus Interceptor
Would-have-been entry for the SWLC Tournament R3....
About this creation
First of all, I'll say sorry to Moodswim and Michael Q. for failing to post on time.

Other than that, not much to say. Since this was going to be a final round entry, I went all out. I've incorporated every technique I've developed over the past 3 years. I've got Technic, SNOT, stickers, printed pieces, rubber bands, full suspension, Bionicle, chrome bricks, illegal connections, minifig hands, minifig arms, a whole lot of cheese, the three-wide dome connection, and a photo-editing job with laser effects and motion blur. See if you can find them all!

Edit:
Thanks for all the nice comments, this is my first appearance on 'Popular This Week' since I left all groups.

Edit #2:
I've also got my first appearance on 'Most Discussed' (at long last)...

...and I've been blogged by a Swedish site I've never heard of. (thanks to E.K.O. for the heads up)

You seem to have done quite a lot of thinking about that ship, and it shows ! A very nice, complex, and altogether smooth MOC

This is very good, you just messed up the cockpit, those windscreens look very unrealistic. Also why are posting screenshot everywhere of becoming popular this week and stuff? Gives me the impression that you yell for attention

My goodness! How could I have missed this? The sides of the canopy could use a redo, I think (I feel your frustration... making good canopies in LEGO is nearly impossible!) Overall, though, this is really impressive, smooth, cool-looking... bravo!

Quoting The Lego Man ... And where did you get that font?!
Uh, GalaxyFarAway.com, I think. It was years ago. Just Google 'Aurebesh font'.

Aye, that will be one for the record books ;D just kidding. The place has cooled down; conversation has all but stopped. And in reply to Boss Nass, you really can't unless you try to post, and a mod or admin feels friendly. You also could attempt to prove yourself worthy; but that is all but impossible.Ah, but for the days when it was but a 45 member group :D. And now about the creation:Love it.And where did you get that font?!

Quoting Boss Nass I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks anyway! Happy Veterans Day! I hope you don't mind me asking, but what happened? You were their administrator and just... left. Why?
Long story. Short answer is that I had a disagreement with the infamous Commander Marks that resulted in a big argument, and I left.

This creation is excellent. I'm a member of the CFOL. I know that you've lost your position of leadership, but I want to know: how do you become a moderator? Can you ask one of the current moderators/administrators if I may become one, or at least how I can work to prove myself worthy of the position? God bless.

Haven't checked there for over a year and quite honestly have no intention of doing so. Have no idea how things are run or what things are like, sorry.

Very nice! It reminds me a little of Aliencat's building style, with a smooth look, with lots of interesting angles and details. I like the red striping.

Wow! This has to be my favorite craft from the prequels. And this build is just amazing. Makes my stuff look like the soggy newspaper in the chimp cage which is awesome. Once again this thing is awesome and I love it

Simply a quality piece of work. The cover pic alone made it look a real model and not a MOC. Whatever contest this was supposed to be in should consider letting you enter anyway even to only grant it the "Horonable Mention" if nothing else!

This is a perfect example of using LEGO to create a very non-LEGO look. The use of bricks versus plates to remove all studs from the surface lends itself to more of an official model than a fan-made creation. Surprisingly detailed considering the limitations of LEGO to create smooth surfaces and curves.
