Well, I was extremely determined to make a mech, I was really excited because it was something I had never tried, well, being my first try, my design did NOT work out too well. Please share any knowledge of good mech techniques wth me in a comment if you have any, thanks!
About this creation

The hands were the first part I did, I was originally inspired to build this after watching the first Iron man (for the 1000 time...)

The back of the hand with a double-barrel machine gun.

This was the gun, it was supposed to attach to the shoulder, but unfortunately made the back to heavy, making the whole back fall off.

This used up pretty much all of my bley binoculars.

And look! More binoculars!

This was the main body. Sadly, I build it with the studs facing inwards, making it nearly impossible to attach things to the outside and still make them look good.

The side...

And the top, the front part slides down, revealing the cockpit, but I'm saving that for later.

This is with the cockpit slid down.

Standing up

And here is the cockpit, I really loved how the inside turned out, sadly, a mech needs other components...

So basically, I learned not to make my guns heavy, AND not to snap-hinge or plain hinge the sidesof the cockpit without proper stability. I still have a LOT to learn, so PLEASE, WHEN YOU LEAVE A COMMENT, SHARE ANY KNOWLEDGE OF MECHS YOU HAVE! Thanks guys, I really wish to make a mech one day.

to me, this isn't muchh of a fail, but my tip would be to start from the legs up |

Depending on what kind of mech you want, Jason Dominguez, Brian K, and Mythril Dlarix (slaughtered all those names, sorry) all have tips or frames for mechs posted on their pages.
I actually did ask Brian K. on his "Archangel" suit, he never responded. But thanks for those other names! I'm determined to make a mech still. |

Actually this isnt a fail at all. If you minus the big gun and rather make 2 slightly larger wrist guns or mak a gun it can hold you will have your weapon problem solved. As for the legs and arms, connect the bricks with ball joint to both the top and bottom of your mech and make arms and legs with those then you will have a body and all thats left to do is armor it and detail it. If you cant make the legs and feet correctly, you could always go with jets and make it into a floating mech. This is something i have wanted to do for a while but could never find the right parts but i have a feeling those first wave exo force sets have the right parts. |

A good attempt. You tried your best, this doesn't mean you should give up too fast. Try looking at all the awesome mech builders works to get some inspiration or ideas. By the way, I really like the hand design. Comment on my creations sometime please? thanks. |

Like the first guy, hardly a fail. In my opinion this is brilliant and unique!! The only advice I have is to keep beating your head against a wall, and maybe stare at some other creations. If you designed everything that is here, eventually you won't have a problem "flipping a switch" and making this work. When you do, it will be all you. I'm really looking forward to the finished product. |

the cp is great but it looks kinda weak. The gun and hands are very well done. My advice would be to either build the body with studs facing up, which allows for attatching all sorts of fun weapons, and to also look up some mech frames around mocpages for ideas. Depending on what kind of mech you want, Jason Dominguez, Brian K, and Mythril Dlarix (slaughtered all those names, sorry) all have tips or frames for mechs posted on their pages. |

good try at making a mech, i think i looks really cool. the main body reminds me of the iron monger's body how it could come down to show the pilot. i think you could attach ball joints on the sides so that arms could attach, otherwise im out of luck with mechs too. |

First off, that's NOT a fail. Second off, it's one of the coolest attempts I've ever seen! Sorry that I am unable to give you knowledge on Mech's (because I don't really build them), but I'll give you 5 points for a wonderful sense of building! ~Ryan
