Here's my MOC of the scene from Jurassic Park where most of the survivors are hiding in the Safari Lodge and the Velociraptor starts breaking through the skylight over Ian Malcolm's bed. This scene is from the novel, it was never in the movie because in that version they take shelter in an emergency bunker instead. I read the book, and this was one of my favorite parts, so I made a MOC of it.

About this creation

Here are the characters, left to right: chaos theorist Ian Malcolm, veternarian Gerry Harding, paleobotanist Ellie Sattler, geneticist Henry Wu, businessman John Hammond, and game warden Robert Muldoon. Both Wu and Harding are only given cameos in the movie, but they are actually major characters in the novel.

And here's my velociraptor, based on the Dino Attack Mutant lizard, which looks more like a raptor than the actual Dino Attack raptor does. I painted it alot, but it is actually LEGO (just to clarify for those of you that only checked this out to trash it for having a "non-LEGO" raptor).

I loved that scene in the novel - as well as the following scene, when the power returns. I think I yelled 'YEAH!' out loud. Great novel!

Quoting Jam Pot I LURVE Jurassic Park! It's nice to see that someone's made a MOC of it, too. Also, how do you make your decals?

thanks, I may make more JP stuff from the novel, I'm not sure. as for my decals, I'm pretty low-tech with those. I actually use MS Paint, even though I know there are better programs out there. the results are still desirable with enough work, so I'm content with it for now.
