beauty and the beast (mob rules, round 2)
this is what happens when you take a dismantled 'tantive IV' and a steaming pile of cliche...
About this creation

once upon a time, there was a wonderful kingdom.

It was ruled by a wise and kind king, and a handsome and charming prince.

of course, no story would be complete without the black sheep, in this case an evil uncle.

one night, the king and his son were eating dinner, when suddenly...

the king was poisoned by his brother, moving the evil uncle one step closer to the throne.

apparently, the uncle did some evil wizardry in his spare time, and he turned the prince into a horrible beast.

so he would remain unless he found his true love.

meanwhile, the entire kingdom fell into disrepair and was covered by a deep dark forest.

-------years later-------------------------

one fine day, the village heartthrob, Justo, was hitting on Beth, who refused his advances.

later that day, Beth went to her grandma's to deliver a basket of meds.

of course, this meant she had to go through the deep dark forest, which was feared by the villagers.

naturally, she got lost.

suddenly, she came across an ancient castle gate.

she opened the doors and walked inside, as the background inexplicably changed from black to white.

here, she met singing and dancing appliances, such as a coffee machine...

a PC...

and a security camera.

then she came across the beast, who was angry (not angry at Beth, just angry in general).

suddenly, Justo came in and tried to kill the beast!!!1!

but Beth stabbed him with a hypodermic needle!!!1!

Beth and the beast fell in love...

and the prince got his old head back.

------------------------4th wall commentary-------------------------

whew!

barely made it. this was a time crunch with finals and all. I'm proud of the picture quality, It's better than my round 1 entry. the Beast's head was played by Jawson, and there were a couple of 'minifigures' pieces in there too.

Quoting Shannon Young Innovative use of shag carpeting, though seeing Lego on it makes me nervous... when I was little, I lost a lot of small pieces in my grandparents' shag carpet. It's a trauma I'm still not completely over.
I built it in my non-shag room, and photoed in the room with the shag carpet. SHAGADELIC, BABY!

Quoting Newt Raiden Where did that head come from? I've never seen it on any lego set before, let alone on bricklink.
It's from the new SPIII sets. I got it in the big base, but it's in all 3.

Quoting Alex Fojtik This thing really deserves some love. Great storytelling, creative adaptation of the theme, and while some of the techniques are very straight forward, they are very effective (the shag carpet comes to mind). Great work on this, Phil.
thanks. I'm glad you noticed the shag carpet. the forest background is a trashbag.
