FORTRESS MAXIMUS BUILD PROGRESS REPORT 3 (June 2010)
FORTRESS MAXIMUS .. SO FAR
About this creation
After many months I am still working on this huge Transformers MOC. There are some challenges due to weight and size. Here is what is built to date and I am hoping to be done the entire transforming model in a month or two.

Fortress Mode Command Towers...

Close up of Tower Guns...

Robot Mode (completed bottom half at least)...

Watch for the finished project coming soon!

Double jointed and still hard on the joints. As you know this boy is big.....
Quoting Seth Higgins Keep up the good work! I almost done with mine but I know how hard it is to build a giant. They seam to like breaking at the jionts.

I am revamping Cerebros but he already does transform into Fort Max's head as for Cerebros head transforming into Spike too, not sure yet! At that scale it will have zero detail. But all in all the finished project should rock!
Quoting Chris Phipson Words can't describe how geeked out I am about this project of yours! Please tell me you're going to have spike as Cerebos' head and Cerebros as Fort Max's head! ~ Chris.

Thank you, I like to give my projects a studless design so they do indeed look like real toys.
Quoting Seth Doroshuk So cool!!! And I also liked how the pieces are blended together so that it looks like an actual transformers toy!!!

Mostly trial and error. I just have some pictures of Fort Max as I never had this one as a kid. That's probably why its taking so long! When I get in the zone I just build!
Quoting Ruud Hoogmoed Great job Chris, thanks for sharing this. Very impressive to get it transformable as well. Do you use images from the series for building, or do you also have a 3D model to build from? I'm looking forward to see the end result.
