What happens when the apoc chick settles down? What happens to all those people she carefully avoided?
They have come.
Wielding deadly weapons (non-LEGO, so sue me) and a grim smile, the henchmen stride to the homely doorstep of our heroine and her one-eyed partner, one thing on their minds. Death. Will this be the (second) end of said apoc chick?
Heck, I don't know...I'm writing this as I go. As the Almighty Keith always says, you control the action. So control it already, I'm done with the backstory.
You've probably noticed the studless road by now. Yes, I actually listened to the complaints concerning smoothing out what would realistly be quite rough indeed. Hope you're happy.
As for you who will undoubtedly complain about the peach minifigs...suck it up. It's Lego.
Not that constructive criticism isn't welcome. I'll take as much as I can get my hands on. Though, constructive criticism is a foreign concept to most everybody on MOCpages these days...
Ah well, I should probably wrap it up before I start ranting. 'Till next time...
this is a really great build im really liking your apocalypse stuff its really cool and interesting! i really like the hut in this one though i think it would have been cool to have pics of the inside, though i do realize that if it wasnt empty there would be, but just a suggestion for future builds :)
This comment was written for multiple posts so please excuse the non specific nature of it. You (or your Lego creation) has been nominated for a MOCie award this year. If you would like to write an acceptance speech in the event that you win, please feel free to do so and email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you win, your acceptance speech will be used in the awards ceremony post due out sometime in June. If you are nominated for multiple entries, please be sure to write a response for each entry. Please check this link http://mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=11182&topicid=50162 to see if you’ve been nominated for more than one category. Thanks and good luck! ~ Chris.
Wow. That wrecked building is quite an amazing sight. The curved edges give it an awesome feel! I'll not complain about the peach-ness of the figs, but I did notice your original 'Apoc-o-chick' was yellow... She must have caught the same Vampire-skin-tone disease her visitors have... ;)
The whole scene looks great and that telephone/electric pole adds a nice element. I wonder if anyone else caught the Hawk Nelson reference in the intro?
And in response to Yuri's comment - I don't think that constructive criticism means that you have to improve an existing creation, but rather helps you to know what you can improve on future creations if you try something similar.
Well, LEGOwise, costructive criticism can only help to a point... for example, I could argue that I don't fully get the shape of the yellow line on the road, but what good would it do to you? Now, if I had a suggestion to improve your overall techniques, it may well worth mentioning, but I doubt anyone would remake a previous MOC just for a few small details. I like to concentrate on the things I like, and say "Cool stuff, man!" And it is :)
OMG dude that road is not smooth enough! Those weapons are definitely NOT LEGO, and those minifig colors are peach colored!! How dare you!! All kidding aside, I love it JD! I like how you only built the front of the house and created a forced perspective. I need to think about that more often with my creations. Speaking of which I have a surprise for you that I built. It's a surprise BW MOC, any chance of you showing up?
