Here is a sneak preview of my first attempt at a train layout. I am using RC trains and track and modified trains mixing PF and RC trains. The total size is 6ft X 12ft. It will be on display at Brickworld 2010, so come on out and let me know what you think.
Just some random pictures from different angles.
Update!!!! As of Brickworld this layout has been upgraded. The town of Shackleton, having received millions in federal grants, has expanded its borders. They are in the planning stages of redesigning their city to include a nearby shipping port and expanded rail line. Check back in the next month to see pics of the new city as it develops.
Everyone should have the pleasure of seeing Jeffery's work in person! This was a splendid addition to Brickworld 2010, and we've heard a lot of praise from people who've seen his work around town...Marvelous layout, Jeff! Johnny and I want you to join us at a show we're hosting in the SW Suburbs this October...look for an e-mail from us (we've got the addy from one of your other Fans!)!
WOW!something to strive for!
you worked hard at this and it shows!
there is a lot to love here!
i also plan to have trains this august,
and wondered if i could use the toy story kit for my project [for parts, love the grey wagon]
but was nt sure the tracks fitted this train!
can t wait to face the challenges of a train layout in my town!
only wish you could have shown more of it!
but i understand why, since i have the same
problem, time!and not very good at taking pictures yet,my girlfriend is much better
but busy!
any interest in the trains coming this summer?
i plan to buy 2 of each,plus 2 stations,plus 4 road crosses!
hope i don t run too short on straights for it!
good job!
that is a very awesome town. i envy you and all of your sets. hey did you modify (paint) the road pieces? they have green edges... i'm from australia and i've never seen them before. different options for different countries?
great town!!!
