About this creation
Hi there!
Not so long ago I promised you to bring here something rare, something you most likely wouldn't have heard about. And I kept my promise and just after dissembling my Navara I started to google for rare cars. Well.. If you haven't had seen Nissan Navara (my previous creation) made out of Lego bricks, that I'm quite sure, that this car will be something new for most of you. Sources on the web tells different numbers, but they all wary between 170 and 180. That's the number how many Zimmer Quicksilvers are produced at all. Quite a few, huh? So I thought I'll bring one here, in Lego interpretation.
This car is something, about which you can say - "Three in one". It's luxurary. It's kind of oldtimer. And it also includes sportish elements. Well.. Those black stripes are actually a thing, it can do without. I simply didn't have any more white wing plates, so I decided to make a loss into gain. Also - everything that is light bluish gray at the exterior should be chrome silver. So Bricksonwheels MOC, if you're reading this, well... not this time. Maybe some other time I will order those chromed bricks from you. :) :) :)
This car, of course, includes lot of features. It has openable almost everything, that can be opened, except for the glove box. It has my new-invented suspensions, independent on each wheel. Detailed with wood elements interior. Again.. I keep experimenting with doors to open mechanism. This time it's again different. This I like the most.
So, enough with my bla bla bla. If someone is interested, you google or wikipedy more info of the real wehicle. I guess this is not the place to write long "novels". Let the model speak for itself.
Exterior...
There are flip out front lights!!
It's a little too hard to see, but there are breake lights.
Let's see, what's inside (notice the nice "curve" between the front fender and doors)
Nice red interior...
There's a small shelf between the seats - openable.
I hated to do that, but I had to remove the roof to take a better pictures of the interior. Red color is such a unfaithful color to capture :(, But at least now you can see all the "wooden" details.
So, if this car has so long nose, there must be a big engine under the hood. At least V10, don't you think so?? I think you do!!
Hey.... where is it!?!?! Did i miss to build it?? That's not typical for me..
Hmmm.. I gues the engine must be at the rear... Let's take a look!
PIIIIII... It's not even there!!!
Now I'm cofused.. Did I really forgot to build an engine??? I must be drunk wile building this.
Oh no! This one was tricky. This car belongs to mid engine class. So the engine is placed at the middle of the car, right after the seats. So there it is - nice V6 :) :)

something needs to be said about your rear roof pillars,they rock! i m a coupe fan, and those make or break the lines of a car,it s not so often i find someone who has the eye+building technique to capture it,excellent!

Nice work! I like how the door hinge is pretty much seamless. It's a very unusual car; usually a mid-engined car will have a short hood, but apparently not always. |

An amazing build of one of the coolest 80's cars! All the opening features, plus the beautiful engine make a stunning LEGO model! My only suggestion would be the addition of the famous Zimmer hood emblem, but other than that, 5/5. I saw one of these in real life at a car show, and I kept kicking myself for not bringing my camera! |

Awesome work! Very accurate build. The only thing I can think of that maybe could be improved are the size of the wheels and the wheel wells, which are a bit too small. But I'm guessing the next step of wheels would be too big.
This is never the less easily a 5 out 5 star creation! |
