Ladyfingers
Built for the May group build in the group People who Build in Different Themes. Theme of the month: Pirates.
About this creation

This little pirate vig is inspired by the Stephen King short story "Survivor Type" which you can find in his collection of short stories "Skeleton Crew".
I won't give the story away (go read it!) but I think you can get the idea...

This seagull is safe...

This one, not so much.

"Ladyfingers they taste just like ladyfingers."

He obviously didn't think it through: without hands, he can't catch the other seagull and stave off starvation for another precious day.

What the heck! He's got another perfectly good leg there and he decides to go with his hands? I mean one, sure, but go the whole arm before taking your other hand... Brings new meaning to the term "finger sandwiches" I guess. Wonder why no one used that joke yet? Nice one Leda! ~ Chris.

The thought of somebody eating their own hands is kinda sick... Besides, i'd prefer to keep my hands as they are more useful to me attached. Is the pirate sad because he had to eat his hands, or because he now can't get to the last drop in the barrel?? Anthony

I have not read that story, but the MOC surely depicts the dark vibe of Stephen King's mind. Very creepy!

I have never read S.King, probably never will either, but I get the jist and this is a well built little vig. Love the seagull!

Hmm. It combines seagull-eating, cannibalism, and self-eating. Therefore, he must be.... wait for it... A SULFFANNIBAL! XD Nice build! The rocks are excellent, though the guy eating his hands is slightly creepy. But that's Steven King for you....

Quoting the bourbonbrick Very good I kind of tought no one would make anything so I'm verry happy now
I had a much grander original plan for this build, but other projects and things got in the way, so I reduced it to a tiny vig with some spare time yesterday and managed to squeeze it in before the month was out.

Sweet vig, with some nice details. Stephen King is the best and you throw in the self mutilation, well, it's a winner.~H

Interesting. Haven't read the story, but I'd have to be pretty hungry to eat me own fingers!
