Artifex Building Station - storage & sorting method
Just sharing how I sort & store my Legos. I hope this helps anyone who's ever thought, "how do I sort this massive pile of Lego!?!"
About this creation

They're categorized into columns by type and size. Sorted Legos makes it EXTREMELY more fun to build!

My collection is still growing and I'm constantly looking for better ways to sort so I'll be back with more to show.

Join my group "Lego sorting & storage" or leave a comment if you have good ideas to share. Til next time, play well everyone!

Hi! I'm not only new to this site, but new to Lego. I got involved because of my six year old grandson. I was so impressed with your "Element Wall" that I put it into a "Microsoft Word" document to make it even easier to access for other builders. I tried to find a link to email you, but couldn't see any other way except to contact you like this. If you want me to send it to you, contact me. Thanks...Bob

I would love to have them sorted like this, but #1 I don't have those boxes, and #2 I find it extremely hard for my Legos to stay sorted.I've sorted by color, shape, size, but none of them work for very long. :(

How much money do you spend to buy all your legos?

Hi I am also currently tryin to sort my legos. My supplies at hande are the mini plastic tackle boxes used for fishing. Are those ok? I also have 1 set of the drawer things and 3 clear bins and 4 large blue bins. I want to know here to get those kind of drawers the blue one in the picture THX

Actually a good idea to store your MOCs inside a box too. My MOCs get really dusty over the time. I use a make-up brush to clean it every once in a while.

I love your draw system but I find them expensive here in England. What I tend to do is put each colour in its own box and if you say use one colour a lot, then to spilt that colour up again, maybe 1x1,1x2,1x3 and 1x the rest in a separate box and the same again for the 2x2,2x3 you get what I mean. Then any plate pieces together and maybe an odd box for bits that you don't really use. You can go on forever though.

The blue box with the little drawer I got at Lowes & also Home depot has it too for $15-$20. The white drawer you could get it at Wal-mart or Target should have it for $20+. Its the cardboard divider that is going to take a while to measure & cut.
