Think "Predator UAV meets Ducati." That signature yellow blaze is a magnet for Mech fire...and risque middle-aged women.
About this creation
For you non-midwesterners who may shudder at the sight of Chippewa etymology, it's pronounced "mas-uh-saw-guh"
I thought I would mix it up a bit and build a futuristic off-road military machine with a yellow stripe.
However, this one is different in the sense that your minifig can now enjoy causing carnage and mayhem from virtually anywhere via remote-control. The Massasauga is a drone - like a modern-day Predator, only with more tires and fewer wings/propellers.
Any decent AFOL knows to include a backside shot.
And, here's the business end. What? Oh, fine...
...one more time just for you.
I'm not sure what it is I have against traditional steering techniques...
Maybe I feel they're just a tad...traditional?
Designed with a slim but sturdy girth, to get into those tight-squeeze areas...
...you know, like between trees.
So, you might be wondering, "Just where can these things be controlled from?"
Well, just about anywhere...
From your iPhone...
"This is the best app ever! It's just like Gamer!"
A Halo Kiddie's Reach MOC...
"Dood!!!!1 tis iz awsomer ten wehn we gotz to drve th worthawgg acros teh bedsheets!"
"Go for the double-kill, M'Lord!"
Keith Goldman's slave-driven legoratory...
"MUAHAHA! NOW I'M CONTROLLING THE ACTION!"
(Credit for this design and concept go to Chris Phipson - taken from his hilarious "Invasion" MOC.)
But, the best place to control you Massasauga is from a Drone Command Armadillo...
Did you spot those extra antennae? Eh? You're good!
I had wanted to create a cycle-inspired design ever since I set my PC's desktop to a concept rendering of the "Light Cycle" from the upcoming remake of TRON.
The name was born when my buddy Sean suggested that I give my next creation a snake-inspired name. Done deal. When I was sixteen, I was driving an ATV along a Lake Huron trail in the Upper Peninsula (the other half of Michigan that we all always forget about). I slid off the trail, and when I got off to push the ATV out of a thicket of bushes, I was bitten by an Eastern Massasauga Rattler - Michigan's only venomous snake. They aren't very large, but it felt as though someone had pressed a hot coal into my shin. I was administered some anti-venom by an EMT no more than three minutes later, and that was that. I couldn't blame the little guy - after all, I had almost just run him over. So here's my tribute to you, unnamed Eastern Massasauga Rattler. Sorry for almost killing you and thanks for the badass scar.
"I sure hope you enjoyed yourself, Longshanks, because I'm never letting you borrow this thing ever again. Those Scots were good people!"

THANK YOU!!!!!one more thing did you get the clone body's from brick link to?
Wait, I was wrong. The dark-gray helmets actually came from Pick-a-Brick. The bodies did come from BrickLink. They are kind of expensive, though, because they are the Kashyyyk Clone Trooper bodies sold with that big turbo-tank set LEGO used to have. They're like $6.50 each or something.
Don't fall for Kelso's trap! Any time he tries to tell a story about a 'close shave around a snake', you're bound to find yourself caught between an awkward pause and a "get-me-outta-here"... And that's if you're lucky! Peace ~ Packie
Very nice! Great build and some awesome commentary to boot! Rattlesnakes huh? I grew up in southern Arizona, thse diamondbacks and sidewinders were all over. I never got bit, although I did kill a couple while hunting quail. Rattlesnake tastes great by the way, seriously. Sweet build here, but I thought the name was Massage-a-u-a.....hmmmmm....
I officially believe that Mocpages hates me. None of my comments ever posted on your other awesome stuff. Anyways, I lawled at your snakebite story. Not sure if that means i'm a sadistic person, but...You need a dio with all of your stuff. Seriously. This stuff is BA.
Blame your english professor for the bad spelling. Too much time spent on Shakespear-ical nonsense and not enough time spent on learning you to spell well. And I suppose that since you caught the typo on my shuttle, I thought I'd return the favor. =)

Hmm. So I guess that if you're only a deCent afol, you're outta luck then? Laugh out loud. Anyway, didn't I tell you this build would have a certain degree of epicness? Great job (as usual).
Wow. And I actually went to college...I guess I had splunking on the brain.
