"I sit here on the hot beach. there is a crab next to me. one of the creatures I have studied so hard. dissection, observation. over and over. I hear the waves that house many other creatures slap the shore. I think I'll smash the crab open."
that was kinda a poem I wrote, I added the smashing part later. anyway, Aristotle was a greek philosipher who studied many subjects under plato, but often rejected his master's views. Some of his works, like his biological synthesis, remained in use centuries after his death. the catholic church adapted his astronomical views and made parts of it represent god or heaven. He knew, almost without error, almost everything we know in science, as far as some subjects, today, in between 384 and 322 BCE. amazing.
you know, he did mess up our mathematical system in his time. by taking out zero and infinite he brought proof of god, and many other things, all because he rejected zero. but he messed up the mathematical system in the process.
