About this creation
Commonly referred to as the “Infil-Sub,” this speedy little monster was designed for stealth and covert insertions. Its passenger capacity is approximately five, with almost every passenger fulfilling the part of a crewmember. As a matter of fact, all members of a covert ops team have been trained to fill any position on the sub, so if the regular pilot is injured, any of the team can easily take over. To simplify this, the controls and work stations of the sub are very easy to use, and some systems are automated. To deploy the covert ops squad, the sub's engines actually reverse thrust, and the sub "backs up" onto the beach, assuming they are deploying onto a beach... Then the multi-purpose weapons swivel around to give them cover as they exit.
The Infil-Sub has four stations: the pilot house, the gunnery station, sensors, and engineering. Each can be operated by a single crewmember. The gunnery station controls the four forward-mounted torpedo tubes, each of which is armed with two dark matter-powered torps. The Infil-Sub also carries a pair of multi-purpose weapons, which can be outfitted with different weapons, from anti-tank cannons to surface-to-air missiles, as pictured here. The engineering station shows the sub’s current stats and schematics, as well as damage reports and such. Sensors is pretty self-explanatory. It includes radar as well as thermal-imaging and satellite scans. Pilot station: it is situated above the main cabin, accessible only by the elevating control seat.
That bit in the back there is the lowering ramp. It's perfect for beaches and carrier ship decks.
Cockpit. Try to imagine that the white pieces are clear, or rather, trans-black. My stupid Bricklink order hasn't showed up yet, and those side cockpit pieces were in there >:P. That's the last time I order from overseas!

Sergeant Marcus Lincoln: Second-in-command of Squad 56. Is a HUGE fan of overkill, as evidenced by the semi-auto shotgun in his hand.
Captain James Tart: Leader of Squad 56. A veteran of over thirty missions, Tart has refused countless offers of promotion, preferring to be “one of the guys.” His weapon of choice? 8 inches of stainless steel guaranteed to ruin your day. No pressure, Thodmin!
Private Simon Drake: Every covert ops squad has to have a sniper, right? Well, Simon fits that slot perfectly. Simon explains why sniping is his chosen profession: “I guess I just like having your target in the crosshairs. In that instant before you decide to pull the trigger, you have complete control over that individual’s life.” Simon also believes that you must never get comfortable with killing. He is the morals of Squad 56.
Private Christoph Bukler: He doesn’t like it when you call what he does “blowing stuff up.” He prefers the term “asset denial.” And you don’t want to make him angry. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, he’s the demolitions expert of the squad. Don't you just love Brickarms? %D (my picasso-style happy face)

awsome, I have the book "the hunt for red october" on hold at the library, and after I read it, I may make a russian sub, it would be awsome to get sub motors (no really! I saw them on bricklink! i think!). very good. |
