Avatar Samson VTOL
The Samson heavy transport chopper from Avatar
About this creation
Samson rear
The distinguishing V tail of the Samson.
Samson rotor
I was able to get the two sets of rotors inside the rings.
Samson rotor
The plate on the bottom of the nose is actually held in place, with a minifig hand. The hand "stem" sticks through the whole in the front of the plate and firmly holds it against the body. A bit unconventional, but it works pretty well.

Here is a nice closeup of the cockpit/canopy. I was also able to get some rocket pods attached to the side.

Great ship! Love the design, and how you implemented it. I haven't seen the film, but I've seen enough pics to know this is a good adaptation.

Quoting Brickdoctor - YOU'RE ALIVE!!! That being said, this is a quality mini the likes of which I haven't seen in a long time. My favorite part is the rotors, really like how you did the blades with hands.
Yeah, sorry about the long spurt without anything new. I have actually been very active on flickr, but I haven't been getting around to updating stuff on mocpages.

Excellent! To make a great mini scale like this requires a master.

Don't you just hate it when people say minis are too small? Excelent representation, instantly recognizable.

"Size matters not"-Yoda. I haven't posted anything here in a while, but I am a mini builder. As such things I build in miniscale are supposed to be small. If you want bigger, you should definitely check out the avatar stuff on The Brothers Brick.(google it) There is also a lego Avatar flickr pool with minifig scale stuff. So again the whole point is to keep it small, it is a "mini" after all. ;)

The construction methods are out of it, so many small pieces! Awesome utilization of parts. Would have been nice to see it a bit bigger though.
