Tortoise-class Racing Speeder

This is another one of the ships that i sketched in math class. The tortoise-class racing speeder is a lot like The Kraken. They are both racing speeders. I've also included the drawings i promised to show you. I'm planning on building all of them so please try not to "borrow" them until i've gotten through them all. Thanks :)
About this creation

The front.


The side of the engine. As you can see, I'm trying out tile work and lettering. I think it really adds a nice touch.


Back. I opted for many small thrusters over a few large ones because i wanted to try something different for a change.


The other side.


Here is a close up of the pilot pod. This is mostly where the name comes from. It kinda sorta looks like a turtle... kinda. Okay maybe not :)

And as promised, Here is a scan of the drawings i did during math class. I know i'm not the best artist around but you can still get a feel for where i'm going with these ships. I've taken the liberty of pointing out the drawings that i based this moc and the Blue Canary off of. Obviously when i build these i'll be making some tweaks to the design, just like i have with the last two. Anyway, enjoy :)

Exellent work here. I love your asymetrical spaceships. The scetches look realy cool, im just trying to imagine them in lego. Good luck with the other ones!

I was thinking having the cab on one side might make control an issue, until I realized how much thrust this thing would have! Hopefully, any effect would be negligible. Hey, were you planning on joining The Mob Rulers, Shannon Young's new contest? I hope so. -Wes

Excellent build Jason! Just when I was questioning the single wing design you toss this beauty out in the pit with a ton of engines! Well with that weight to power ratio I do believe this one can fly....and FAST, regardless of what the name implies. I'm assuming it's to throw off the competition! ;) Love the numbering too!

It still looks strange after looking at it for a while, but I believe that I'll probably understand better what the possibilities are when I see this scale model in motion or something...but I like this variation!

BLEW ME AWAY!(Yet again)- Impressive build, for sure. Love the chunky wedge feel you got going on here, tasteful with the greebs as well. Engine nacelles especially convincing- this thing pulls what, Mach 3 at least??? Entertaining. Inspiring. You Rock, Dude.- Huss Q.
