Ready? Ok, let's go...

...

"We're under attack, repeat, we're under attack! Send in Taurus for extraction, do you read?"

...

"It's ok! Leave me here, I'm not going to make it!"

"I'm not leaving without you!

...

"YAAHHH!!!"

"AAAAHHHHHH!!!"

"AAAAHHHHHH!!!" Erik awoke from his deep slumber a bit shaken by his dream. He was screaming at the top of his lungs.

Logan, and Ludwig were talking near by Erik's bed were a bit startled to hear screaming.

The turned towards Erik.

Even a soldier came running in through a doorway to see what all the commotion was.

"Settle down, settle down, Mate." Logan said to Erik, "You're safe."

"Aaaahhh..." Erik began to settle down.

He started to lean backward knowning that he was fine and it was just a dream.

He put on a smile and started to chuckle a bit.

"Hahaha, sorry guys...." Erik apologized

"You almost scared us to death!" Ludwig said laughingly

"Hahaha, sorry, I was, uhhh... having a bad dream."

The soldier turned around and left, seeing that there was no danger.

"So where am I?"

"You're in medical recovery bay 2-B, and under the best of care."

"Oh, I'm sorry, let me introduce myself, my name is Michael, head of the Medical Recovery division.

Erik scooted to the edge of the bed,

and hopped off it.

"We brought you here after your battle. You only blacked out. I've been monitoring your health and you're pretty much fine."

"Where is Duncan?"

"He is right over here." Michael said walking

"He's got two broken ribs and has been resting for a while after we fixed 'em. I thought you were going to wake him up when you were screaming."

"Sorry about that."

"So what do I do now?"

"I'm afraid commander Smith......well...we weren't able to save him. So I believe you are supposed to report to your new commanding officer. At least, after I release you. You're in pretty good condition, let me talk to Emily first."

Michael walked up to a booth.

"Emily, how is patient Red-1?"

"Let me check..." she said as she typed on the computer.

"Red-1, Red-1...Ah! Red-1. Normal, just needs more rest."

"Alright, you're free to go. Just head out the door to your left and talk to the woman at the desk. You'll have to check out and then she'll tell you where your new commander is. And don't worry, Duncan will be fine.

"Thanks you, Michael."

"No problem."

Erik, Logan, and Ludwig arrived at the desk.

Hi, my name is Erik, or Red-1, and I'm here to check out. I'm also told you can tell me where our new commanding officer is.

"Yeah, sure, just a moment."

The woman shifted over to a computer and pushed some buttons.

She then shifted back and told Erik, "Alright you're good to go and your new officer is actually right out that door."

"Oh, ok, thanks."

Erik was a bit surprised by this. He thought known of it so,

the commandos turned to leave,

but stopped when Erik saw two groups standing out in the hallway. Then he was shocked.

He looked and saw the President of Earth with his to body guards on one side,

And then he saw the second group, which appeared to be a Regional Commander and a Squad Commander with one soldier on the other.

And neither groups looked very happy.

Notes:

Well it's been about two months since the last episode, but it's not my fault! School has been really tough and I had trouble with making the story for this episode. It was quite difficult.

But the good news is I only have about a month of school left and then in the summer there will be one episode per week FOR SURE!

Anyway, you can join the We're Not Alone Group HERE and you can talk about this episode, talk about where you think the series is going, and where you can find all the episodes neatly organized!

Also, on rewriting the series, I really need to get back to that. I've decided that music just isn't really what this series needs too. Besides it takes way too long to find the music and choose what fits the mood, so I've completely given up on it. Not really given up, but decided it's for the best. Episode 8 definitely needs to be fixed, thanks for the feedback guys. ;)

Thanks to everyone who's been reading the series, liking, it and making it better!

Thanks everyone!

I think this works well as a set up episode. Not much on action, but who was the woman in the rubble? What do the flashbacks mean? Who and why are the two groups in the end angry? Good work on setting things up.

Excellent episode! This is your best one yet! The new commander reminds me of Col Miles Quaritch in James Cameron's Avatar! Do you have a Flickr account? I just got one, it's pretty cool.

You're improving very well. The governmental side could bring more background into the story, i think.
