A very famous mascot, of my wife's prestigious engineering college.
About this creation
I made this for my wife's thirtieth birthday. She is a real fan of Georgia Tech (well, she was in the band, after all!
My daughter, Joellyn helped me make it, and by make it, I mean, tried to build something else with the bricks when they arrived.
I used Bricksaic to create the instructions from an edited picture of Buzz off the internet. I did have to adjust the instructions slightly to allow for structural integrity.
The frame and picture are entirely made of unglued Lego bricks. It has been showcased in my bedroom for well over a year now, with barely any separation of bricks.
Being at the bedroom computer station was supposed to be temporary, but Valerie has yet to have a screw drilled into the concrete wall of her current office.
Joellyn "Helps". Actually, she was getting to be quite handy with the bricks. She ended up making a nice "house" which had to be sacrificed in the name of Buzz's super-Lego strength.
I actually didn't finish before Valerie's birthday. Even still, I delayed, but then I had to give her a gift, so I showed her what I was working on. I think she was happy about it.
Nicely done! My first mosaic was meant to be done before my friend's wedding anniversary, and it took an additional month or so. I understand the pressure! :-)
