This is my 2 cents to contribute to the 2010 mech contest. Category: Bio-System mix.
About this creation
The Spidares are heavily plated quad walkers used to scout and fight in impervious regions like cliffsides, mountains and so on.

They possess all usual BioMechs' features: regeneration of biomechanical parts, a powerful brain core giving them extensive autonomy, an highly evolved AI, immunity to EMPs and a sturdy and thick bionite coating.

They are far slower than the older Asura models, but they have a powerful sensor array and a tremendously heavy plating, unusually strong among mass-prod models galaxy-wide.
They are usually armed with a long range heavy lazer and a badass 32x rocket launcher.

The main hull is made from regenerating structure cells coated in a thick layer of Bionite, a sturdy non-regenerating material obtained by compressing dead stem-cells.
They usuallycarry a couple of heavy Vibro Clubs for mech fighting/razing buildings.

The cockpit hosts a human pilot and an AG synthuman at the sensors, yet the actual fighting is done by the EAP (Evolved Artificial Personality) itself.

ArcheoGenis BioMechanical divisions are sometimes joined in battle by MAOX Skynites, a super-elite group of fighters trained in a remote planet in the arts of airborne/spaceborne hand to hand fighting.

Skynites equip a special hybrid flying tech obtained from the Kaiserking in exchange for some advanced Biotech.

Butt shot

Again, not a great day to be among the infantry.

MAOX Skynites come from my "spastle" pages

I used an Altlantis suit with a golden visor, a couple of hands and GIMFs to make the jet packs.

Whew! This was made in 4 hours when I decided to finally join the 2010 mecha contest. I had too much going on, and I was thinking about skipping it, but I gave my word so I wanted to do at least one and here it is :)
Note #1: Despite my efforts, these are the best pictures I could take. I don't know why, I did nothing different really... bah.
Comments are welcome.

One of the coolest revamps I ever saw. Too bad you weren't around a couple of months ago during the Bionicle Farewell contest...
I wish I was too, but I probably wouldn't of done as well, since [I think] I wasn't as good before.(Sorry if I sound silly, my mind is jumbled today.):S |

This female torso technique is outstanding, and it gives more decorating options. My only concern is about its ability to bend forward, but I guess it can be slightly modified, or the hips can be repositioned... I also like the feet very much. Well done! (hmm... you just gave me the idea for yet another torso technique to go with your hip build. I'll try it tomorrow)
well, actually she can bend over well, I think it's just that I bent the hips forward to give her that laid back look. Happy I inspired you! ^.^ |

Yuri, that thing is all kinds of sweet! The main body reminded me of a marauder mech from old school battletech. Nice work man! Nice weapons systems as well. Anything gets kicked up a notch on the cool meter when you add missle launchers! ~ Chris. |

What no awesome psychic powers? Jk. Awesome little mech, especially the little flying dudes in the back =)
It's a mass production model. There would be not enough pilots for them if they were Psi-mechs :) |

Gee and I thought it was a crab having a bad shell day! Definitely a bizarre design and that's the way I like em! I'm still envious of the parts you seem to get. Most of your stuff comes from sets that I've never seen and I don't think they even sell here in the U.S. By the way are you still doing your contest for a quad walker for ArcheoGenis or has that idea been scrapped already? Either way I've got something you might like. I'll get it posted A.S.A.P. Promise. |

I find this absolutely hilarious! I build a four legged mech and call it a spider and people freak out and question my knowledge spider anatomy, but when you do the same it's perfectly fine. Mocpages can be so picky XD Anyway, another excellent entry! It turned out really well considering it was such a quick build! |

As a judge, I do not give smile faces, in honor of Goldman, but as a regular Joe, here is a smile for you! Great job Yuri! |
|
|
For a quick build, this turned out quite well. The only thing that leaves me wanting is the leg structure, but it is a spider mech. Hmmm, what to score. The two seater dongpit I really liked and the colors, the creepy factor gets a big smile from me, of course, and the fact that as Wes pointed out, no Yuri Robe pictures earns you a 5. 5 points! |

Very good, but its missing something...I cant put my finger on it, I like this entry I really do, but the legs seem to be lacking in Armor. Sorry Yuri. I can only give this a four...
Hahaha! I know exactly what it's missing: time. This was designed, built, photographed and uploaded in little kess than 4 hours :)

"immunity to EMPs" now I've heard everything!
Yeah, BioMechs don't have circuitry, but a nervous system.

I don't know. Whenever I try something for that theme, I end up with something else completely :(

Whew! I'm just glad "and more" didn't entail more pictures of Yuri in his bathrobe! And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the smackiest smack-talk you'll ever hear (read) me utter on these pages. Yes, indeed. Very cool walker, and enjoyable read, as usual. One day I will have to explore the Archeogenesis (sp?) universe more. |
